1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A scarf and a hat (lots and lots of images and verbage) on: February 26, 2007 12:14:09 PM
So this new years I went to visit creepyhugger who is of course my sister.  While there she took me to a yarn store where I bought a kit for a scarf.  I mention this because she helped me choose the lovely colors I eventually bought:

Up close to see the "Luscious Lengthwise Linen-Stitch"-ing:

Me modeling:

Also I knittend this hat http://www.spindlicity.com/summer2006/marigold.shtml#... which probably wasn't much suited for the yarn I chose...

... but I got so into the pattern and loved the hat so much that I knitted the exact same hat a second time...

I don't have a dog, so I took a pic with my cat:

Thanks for looking at my pics and reading my long-winded explainations of my madness...

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: a willing cat + a small knowledge about crochet= on: February 26, 2007 11:55:20 AM
(I posted my first knitting project on the crochet board.   Roll Eyes Oop!)

Both my cats are such sweeties that they don't bite or scratch me but I somehow doubt they'd let me put horns on them.  They are adorable horns.  Maybe someday I'll put down my knitting needles and take up crochet.

I was going to ask if that was a angry blue lemon... then I read your post.  Teal lime.  Too funny.  But an adorable basket of fruit none the less.  I personally am a fan of the lime and the apple.  Angry fruit make me giggle.

Oh, I love Roofus!!! And his knitted version!

I love this pattern. I knit my kitty, too: here's my Kismet.

I love knitted Kismet.  And I love this pattern also.  I just know that when I get me a third cat I'll be knitting her up too.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: totoro hat from helloyarn on: February 16, 2007 10:30:35 PM

No face, no i-cord... but huge floppy ears that I just love to death.  I'm undecided on the face, though.  I have a cat hat I bought years ago with eyes on it and I always fold the brim up to hide the eyes.  But can this truely be a totoro hat without the face?  Such questions boggle.

BTW figure 8 cast on kicked my butt.  I had the hardest time getting the first row stitches tight enough.  The big floppy ears were totally worth it, though.   Cheesy

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: I'm developing a tea fetish...its so wrong! on: February 14, 2007 10:13:41 PM
First I will buy a tea pot, then I will knit a cosy for it, then I will brew me up a pot of green and drink.

As fetishes go, it may be so wrong, but it feels so right.  Adorable set, great colors, and otherwise just inspiring.  Thank you for sharing.

I'm so embarrassed.   Shocked It's my first post and I posted it on the wrong board, and I can't remove it.  Oops.
