1  A scarf and a hat (lots and lots of images and verbage) in Knitting: Completed Projects by wanderforth on: February 26, 2007 12:14:09 PM
So this new years I went to visit creepyhugger who is of course my sister.  While there she took me to a yarn store where I bought a kit for a scarf.  I mention this because she helped me choose the lovely colors I eventually bought:

Up close to see the "Luscious Lengthwise Linen-Stitch"-ing:

Me modeling:

Also I knittend this hat http://www.spindlicity.com/summer2006/marigold.shtml#... which probably wasn't much suited for the yarn I chose...

... but I got so into the pattern and loved the hat so much that I knitted the exact same hat a second time...

I don't have a dog, so I took a pic with my cat:

Thanks for looking at my pics and reading my long-winded explainations of my madness...

2  Re: totoro hat from helloyarn in Knitting: Completed Projects by wanderforth on: February 16, 2007 10:30:35 PM

No face, no i-cord... but huge floppy ears that I just love to death.  I'm undecided on the face, though.  I have a cat hat I bought years ago with eyes on it and I always fold the brim up to hide the eyes.  But can this truely be a totoro hat without the face?  Such questions boggle.

BTW figure 8 cast on kicked my butt.  I had the hardest time getting the first row stitches tight enough.  The big floppy ears were totally worth it, though.   Cheesy

3  Swat Team Kitties from Crafty Alien (look at all the photos!) in Knitting: Completed Projects by wanderforth on: February 14, 2007 09:34:50 PM
I'm a new knitter.  I've had fun lurking here, finding patterns and knitting.  I particularly had fun with the Swat Team Kitties from Crafty Alien www.CraftyAlien.com

My kitten is a tux, so after I finished the tux I knew I had to knit a kitty for my other cat Roofus, a calico.  I spent about an hour or two chasing after my Roofus trying to knit the patterns on her back and face.  It was funny.
