I've always had an average/athletic build, but after a pretty severe soccer injury last year I became somewhat sedentary. Gained about ten pounds but lost a lot of muscle, so my body type has changed a bit. I'm now in my late 20's and it's harder to take off than it used to be!
Now here's my question: I'm trying to take the weight off and build the muscle back, but I'm wondering if I should even bother sewing stuff for myself before I'm either back where I want to be or have given up and accepted my no-longer-teenaged body.
I've got so many cute patterns and fabrics sitting around collecting cat hair. I WANT to sew, but I also don't want to make things that won't fit me if I'm successful.
What do you craftyfolks think?
A. Sew anyway and leave space for taking in?
B. Sew in my old size to inspire myself?
C. Wait and see? (Hehe. Weight and see...)
or
D. Focus on purses and things that don't care that my tummy is too tubby?
I really appreciate any advice you all have - none of my friends sew, and my husband says that my belly's way littler than his so I look fine. (Sweet but SO not what I wanted to hear...)
Help? Thanks!
