Best t-shirt fitting/altering tutorial I've seen. Thank you SO MUCH for putting this together. So much great info in here...not just resizing, but altering sleeves and necklines. I'll definitely be referring back to this tutorial in the future. You rock!!
Cute top, but what I really enjoyed was reading your thoughts on Lucille Ball's role in the t.v. classic "I Love Lucy". I'm 37 and watched the show in reruns as a kid (and as an adult). I remember at least one episode where Ricky bent Lucy over his knee and spanked her after she did something he found unsavory. Even as a kid that episode gave me the creeps.
I'm working on a desert scene in acrylics. I'm having a lot of fun painting it and just finished this cactus today and wanted to share. The rest of the painting has a tortoise, hummingbird, and a kangaroo rat. The boulders in the foreground underneath the cactus I did with modeling paste, so they have some cool dimension to them (better seen in person). I'm really enjoying working on this one, but have been having terrible back pain and am having to take lots of breaks to lie down-so it's very slow going at the moment (not that there is any hurry to finish). I'm working on the kangaroo rat presently. Thanks for looking!
***UPDATE**** I've finished this painting and really love it. It's a tough one to photograph because of the glitters and fold washes (and also I'm just not much of a photographer). The tortoise has rhinestone "scales". The sand is about 15 layers of paint and glitter. The sky has a few washes of gold over it that makes it look different depending on the angle you view it from. I'll be showing my paintings for the first time next month at a local cafe and I'm REALLY excited!!
