1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Shop the Swap 33**Discussion Thread** on: January 05, 2010 05:58:59 AM
I will try, I got a fancy new sewing machine for Xmas so maybe I could do some embroidered napkins or something for a new round.

And I have toooons of fiber from the fiber fair I did last April, it just all needs to be photographed.

Also you can see pictures of what I've been busy with here:

Holy Guacamole ladies! You have facebook and a website now.  *sniffle*

I feel a little bit like a proud mommy Wink

Life is returning to normal around here, maybe I'll even have time to come back and play again soon!
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Shop the Swap 24 **Shops Only!!** on: March 04, 2009 06:16:17 AM

All items 1 point!

Cane slice beads, choose 10:

Focal beads, choose 5:

More pictures of beads of both types here:

(The face beads and the dark purple and white kaleidoscope beads are no longer available.   Some of each other type are still available although there may be more or less than what is pictured.  Please PM me if you have questions!)

Sheepy soaps:

I also now have a more "realistic" looking sheepy mold if you don't want the cartoony sheep.  You can see a stock picture of this soap here: http://www.brambleberry.com/Uploads/SHEEP.jpg

Made up on demand. Available scents include rose, plumeria, pearberry, vanilla, baby powder, clean and soapy, orange, mango, eucalyptus mint, jasmine chamomille, peach, bubble gum, cinnamon, ? rain, and more, ask me if you're looking for something specific. White or color of your choice.  If you want the soaps to display, they don't look as cute with exfoliants in them, but if you are actually going to use them, available exfoliants include lavendar, apricot, orange, eucalyptus, coffe, green tea, oatmeal, and more.

Clay covered altoids tin:

Small polymer clay barrettes (about 1" square), set of two:

Poly clay bracelet:

Poly clay covered pen, 2 available: (2 others in different colors also available)

It's sad, but I have a TON of yarn I'd really like to destash.

If you're learning to knit socks, or you just like the self patterning yarn, I have a ton of moda dea Sassy Stripes yarn.  You can read about it here.  http://www.yarndex.com/yarn.cfm?yarn_id=3092 I have yarn in the crayon, polo, crush, swish and stormy colorways.  Two skeins will make a pair of socks for even a large man (my hubby has a pair I knit early on and loves them).  Two skeins will also make a really cute baby surprise jacket.
2 skeins for 1 point or 6 skeins for 3 points.

I also have many skeins of Red Heart Luster Sheen Yarn, which you can see here http://www.yarndex.com/yarn.cfm?yarn_id=3011 . It's a very smooth fingering weight acrylic yarn. Color list coming soon, or PM me if you are interested.
3 skeins for 1 point.

For 3 points I'd also be happy to make up "learn to knit kits" for anyone who would like one.  They would include several skeins of yarn in cotton or acrylic, 2 sets of needles, a learn to knit book of some kind from my stash, and some of my favorite beginners patterns, plus extras!

Baby stuff! Especially cloth diapering supplies.  Diapers, covers, wet bags, etc.
Customized onesies and baby t-shirts. (Pooh, monkeys, geeky things)
Wool yarn (and superwash!) for making soakers
Pretty Spindles

Hey LL you just want to try and wind the yarn on evenly as that will help the spindle to keep spinning smoothly.  You should keep the bulk of the yarn near the whorl and let the rest taper down gradually.  You want to wind it firmly but not so tightly you're stretching the yarn.

I finally mailed last night, I'll send out official notices in a bit.  I'm a little out of it this morning because I fell on the stairs an hour ago.  I'm sure I'm fine, but it's just a scare I didn't need.

I'm a computer programmer, so mommy brain is really bad for my work productivity, sigh.

AF, your soap is in a package with your address in my purse.  And it has been for like 5 days.  I even left work at lunch to go to the post office once.

On Monday.

Yeah..... That would be President's Day.

I think I'll probably take another couple months off the swap.  Maybe after I get back from the fiber fair in April and I have a bunch of stuff all already done, I can put that up.

On the plus side, by that point my soaps should all start to be shrink wrapped real nice instead of wrapped in saran wrap!

BLARGH.  Work is driving me crazy.

And pregnancy is making me stupid and exhausted.

I'm like weeks behind on all my packages.  I may have to just get up to 3 points and bail for a while.  I think this may have been a bad time to try and start swapping again Sad

I've gotten myself a wee bit overextended so I haven't claimed again.  As I have a minute here and there I'm trying to test knit some of my Jean Greenhowe food patterns! If I get a few done I'll try and claim you Zelda!

Hey guys I hate that I'm stalling the swap, but I honestly have no idea what to add to my list.  I am SO clueless!  Anyone have any suggestions?
