21  Re: Ongoing Offer What You Have (Crafts/Supplies) Swap - May in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by raynbow on: May 10, 2007 07:46:17 PM
I'm raynbow, and I've been approved and I'm going to be brave and see what I can do with the Danger Yarn.  This is my third claim (1 shipped).

Set #1 McCall's 8334 Sizes (46,48) Extra Large and Simplicy 7469 Size A (XS-XL)

Set #2 Simplicyt 0515 Size RR (14,16,18,20) and Simplicty 9532 Size RR (14,16,18,20)

Set #5 Simplicity 5359 Size RR (14,16,18,20) and McCalls 2854 (Children's)

Sunflower no sew applique:

12 red white and blue plastic "cause" bracelets.  I tried to bead them, and it worked out ok, but was too much effor for my laziness.  I'm sure someone else can come up with something neat to do with them.

One covered Altoids tin.  The lid comes completely off.

One brown stained glass covered bic pen.   Ink is replaceable.

Two yellow-gold sun barettes with rust colored highlights.

Choose any 10 beads, mix and match.

Other random stuff!

Leavings Dolls & Leavings Doll Kit

I have a big box full of all kinds of bits of lace.  Quite a bit of it is vintage.  There are long pieces, short pieces, alot of white, but quite a bit in colors as well.  I'll happily add a big handful of lace to my list.  Just let me know what colors/widths you prefer.  This is just a sample of what is in there, there is lots more.

Four skeins of tapestry yarn

Around 10 identical valentines day cards.

10 small plastic 'goodie' bags with red and purple hearts on them.

A bunch of small plastic rings of varying sizes.

A bunch of small metal rings of varying sizes.

Plastic curtain clips!

I don't have pictures, but I recently got a TON of knitting needles from my mom's house.  Single points, double points, and cingulars.  Mostly metal.  Mostly vintage.  Most are still in great condition.  Some are a little bent or wiggly, but still useable for collage or some other non-knitting use.  Lets say 3-4 pairs for a claim?  When you claim, PM me with sizes/types you want and I'll match as close as I can.  I still haven't measured them, sorry! But amongst other things I know I have a bunch of small size (1-3) dpns and alot of small/medium sized straights (3-6).

Combine any of these items with anything else on the list:

Doll sized gardening gloves.

Valentine's cards for sister & grandmother.  Take either or both.

22  Wedding Paper in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by raynbow on: May 07, 2007 06:52:26 PM
We've had this big stash of RSVP cards from our wedding that I wouldn't let my husband throw away, but couldn't think of any reason to keep either.

I finally did something with them last weekend:

I used them and flowers my husband has given me in the past to make paper for my mother in law for a mother's day present!

Here's a picture of everything we made, including some I didn't send to her.

I saved the stamps and the images off the front of the cards, here's one sheet where I tried to add them back in as decoration.

A close-up.

I'm definately going to do this again, we still have a bunch left.  I think I'm going to make some from the rsvp cards and actual flowers from my boquet and save them to give to my husband as anniversary cards over the years.

I can totally do drop spindles, but they would be very plain.

Here's a very blurry picture of the last one I made (or rather made my husband make).

Unless I can get more cooperation from the hubby, they don't have a pointed end.  So they work fine if you want to use them as a 'drop' spindle, but they won't work as a supported spindle very well, if that makes sense.

Sorry I'm late guys! I've been at the fiber fair.  Wheee!

Here's my contribution for the week!

And the required close-up!

But what's that bit of blue?

My first blue ribbon! I was so excited!  Ok, so I should admit, I was the only entrant in the beginner's category.  I was STILL excited.  And the judge wrote some really flattering comments on the comment card, including a request for me to enter it into the state fair!
