I finally got some pictures.

My yarn got a little mixed up, but I think this batch is from YarnIsFun and Kelibare:

And this batch is from Lubee:

(Sorry the picture isn't too good, I couldn't find these when I took the first picture and I'd made about 40 trips up and down the stairs and didn't want to go back outside to take this last picture!)

Am I crazy, or was someone looking for turtle soaps?

These are the ones I have/can make:

I also have a slightly larger mold, but the turtles are the same basic shape, here's the smaller soaps with the larger mold for size.

17  First real felting project - rainbow and bag in Felting: Completed Projects by raynbow on: June 01, 2007 07:43:11 AM
Valsped sent me an awesome felting kit in a personal swap, and here's what I made!

I know it's not super exciting, but I think it came out cute.  I might put some clouds or something on it too.  I haven't decided.

Of course it lead, very very rapidly, to my second real felting project, which I think came out a weee bit more impressive!

Sorry the pictures are so dark.  I wanted to take them outside, but it started raining, grumble!

Here's a closeup that didn't come out TOO dark:

Well, I have two this week, but I can only post one, because one is for a swap, boooo!

Sorry the pictures are dark.  It started raining when I went to take pics last night so I had to do them inside!

This is from the first batt I carded up when I got my drum carder last month and I spun it up on my turkish drop spindle.

I'm getting a little better at my close up pictures, but they still aren't super clear.

I totally had something to post this week and I completely spaced it, I hope no one minds a little happy monday fiber instead!

I did this a couple weeks ago actually, but it was for a swap and my partner finally got it, so here are pictures!

You know, everytime I think I get a decent picture, I get on here and realize I still haven't gotten it down.  But these aren't too terrible, I guess.

Two skeins.  I took some brown and white mill ends from sheep shed and dyed them pink to get sort of a pink and (pinkish) brown.  One is plyed with brown thread strung with seed beads and flower sequins.  The other one is the leftovers, plied together, once I got tired of fiddling with beads and sequins!

Close up of the novelty.
