1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: cocktail monkey bag on: May 12, 2005 10:11:32 AM
my problem with this bag is that knitting the cord gives me blisters.  Prewrapping fingers in bandaids helps a lot.  I'll post pictures when I finally complete it.

lanolin: comes in a tube.  You can usually get it at pharmacys.  Sometimes it's in the maternity section (fixes nipples chapped from nursing).  Just apply a dap before you head out for the day.  It's white when it first goes on but as it heats up and absorbs it will softne your lips and leave a glossy shine.

your quilts are beautiful!  How do you create quilts that look like paintings?  Can you recommend a reference book for your technique?

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: how to make something to help make your feet smell good?need help!! on: January 17, 2005 08:45:33 PM
To help your feet smell better:

1.  Exfoliate in the shower: scrub feet, focusing on underside of toes and heels with a mixture of salt or sugar and olive oil (you can mix this up with a few drops of your favorite essential oil if you want to) (be careful, the tub will get slippery)

2.  Dry feet with a clean cotton towel (make sure you get between your toes)

3.  Powder feet with baby powder, gold bond, or the recipe mentioned above

4.  Wear clean cotton socks with shoes that have been allowed to air out in a warm dry place overnight

very cool.  I made a chocker once with two rows of buttons woven together but i never thought to expand that to make a purse...or a ___________.  Wow the possibilities are endless and purely dependent on how long I want to sit threadng buttons together.
