31  Oscar the Pomeranian in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by ericav on: February 10, 2008 03:48:57 AM
My Swap partner received her items, so I can post this now! I made this for the Valentine's Day Swap http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=224361.30. She wasn't a fan of Valentine's Day, so I focused on the things she loves, like her dogs. This is of Oscar, he passed away last year. The picture was amazing and I had to draw him. It's done on velour paper in pastels.

I really am surprised with all the chinchilla owners on craftster!  Shocked

Here are two more adorable pictures of my baby:

Thanks guys!  Yep, she's 9, chinchillas can live to 20 or so. Usually it's 15 years if they're in good health.

Here's a picture of my baby while she was out during her playtime

35  Re: love/hate valentine's swap gallery! in The Swap Gallery by ericav on: February 07, 2008 10:35:39 AM
I got mail!! Lindsey sent me such fantastic items!

She made me a bag for my art supplies, which will come in handy! A scarf and headband that I'll wear when I get my doggie! She made some beautiful heart magnets that say "All You Need Is Love" (we're both Beatles fans  Grin) and some adorable dog/cat toys! My cat Simon already started playing with them. He helped me open the package and he knew right away that those were for him.

She also wrote a beautiful card and her doggie signed it too  (Simon also was interested in smelling the pawprint)!

37  A Pug Christmas in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by ericav on: December 06, 2007 12:07:23 PM
I finally got this back from my printer. My scanner and digital camera is still broken Cry

This is my Christmas card for this year. It's going to people that I've done business with and family and friends. I love pugs but I've never gotten to draw one before. I thought this would be a good idea for a card. I've never had my own Christmas cards before so this is exciting and nerve-racking at the same time.

Feedback and criticism is always appreciated.  Cheesy

38  Portrait of My Little Cousin in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by ericav on: December 04, 2007 04:16:05 PM

I just remembered that I forgot to post this drawing. I finished it a while back and I finally got a frame for it. I'm going to be mailing it out to them soon. My cousins just moved back to the east coast so this will be a Christmas present/house warming present. I'm going to throw in a couple of things for the boys too.

This drawing was done from from his birth announcement. I also created a portrait for their older son's birth announcement a couple years ago and now they'll have a matching set. I'm so excited. Here's the older portrait. I know I posted it on here before but I don't fell like digging up the old post.

Feedback is always appreciated! Both were done in pastel. Thanks for looking guys!

39  Re: Some stuff I worked on in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by ericav on: November 30, 2007 10:47:48 AM
Thanks!  Grin I really loved working on Rocky's smile! Here's a close up on his face. The leaves behind the panda were challenging at first, but I'm happy with the way it turned out.

40  Some stuff I worked on in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by ericav on: November 30, 2007 10:42:02 AM
I made this one for the panda swap. It's done in colored pencil.

This one was a commissioned piece done in pastels. The dog is an Alaskan Eskimo named Rocky, he was a lot of fun to work on.

Thanks for looking!
