1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / some of my recent projects on: June 04, 2008 07:34:36 AM
Here are a couple things I have made recently. The fruit magnets were a mother's day gift to my sister in law and the tote was something I actually made for myself which is something I never do. Thanks for looking!

sorry about the pic size. i couldn't resize them.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / first bead ring on: June 04, 2008 07:25:08 AM
Here is my first basic attempt at a beaded ring. It's nothing fancy I just sorted through some of my glass beads and put them together. My favorite part is the little green glass leaf bead I used which is a little hard to see.
Once it was finished my daughter promptly took it from me and I haven't been able to wear it since.  Grin
thanks for looking!

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / birthday dress on: June 04, 2008 07:08:39 AM
This is my first clothing pattern to share since I usually crochet and knit but I wanted to share this.
I bought one of those dresses from Joann's that you just hem and sew up the back since I am still learning to sew.
Here is a picture of the cuteness.  Grin

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Rheatheylia's divine hat on: November 29, 2007 06:10:32 AM
I was checking out the cable hat link that rheatheylia posted and went to her site where I found the pattern for her Divine Hat. I don't usually make myself hats but this year my winter coat has no hood and it is bitter cold lately. Anyway, I grabbed a ball of Paton's classic merino wool and got to work. I only had to frog the whole thing once cause I didn't read the directions properly. It is a beautiful pattern although just a tad big for my head and I have a big head but I figure no hat head this way.  Smiley

here is the hat. the colors are pretty close to how they really look.

here is the hat on so you can see the pattern better.

Thanks for the great pattern Rheatheylia!  Smiley
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / ear flaps on: October 22, 2007 05:18:28 PM
Here is a hat I made my sister for Christmas. She is twelve and loves hats with earflaps and pompoms. She out grew the one our mom bought her a couple years ago and since their money is tight, I made this for her. I made it this afternoon while my one year old took her longest nap to date. (two whole hours, woohoo!)

sorry for the grainy photos but I was too lazy to get better pics. The yarn is tlc essentials in a spring green color and an off white color. Thanks for looking.  Smiley
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Betty look-alike doll on: August 08, 2007 10:40:38 AM
My mom called me up Sunday afternoon and said she was doing a gift exchange at work and her person collected betty boop stuff. She asked if I could make a doll for her by wednesday.  Embarrassed
So, I gave it my best and came up with this doll.

Granted it doesn't look exactly like betty boop but it will pass I think. It was my first time creating a doll and in only two full days no less.  Smiley

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Nintendo cozy on: June 18, 2007 10:30:08 AM
Here is my take on the nintendo ds lite cozy/sock/protector.
I started to follow a pattern but I didn't want to use two circular needles so instead, I used size 8 dpns and cast on 32 sts. I knit until it fit my ds lite then I made a strap, sewed on velcro and presto! A cozy!
Here's another shot of the case:
I used red heart super saver in artist print (I believe it was called.)
Thanks for looking!  Smiley
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / little green clutch on: June 01, 2007 11:05:23 AM
Here is a clutch I made my sil to carry for work. She needed something for her cell, candy and keys. It is in an almost hunter green color and the lining is yellow with little green flower buds. I used a plastic brown button that looks wood to close it with. Thanks for looking!

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / ankle socks! on: May 23, 2007 09:38:43 AM
Here are my first ever knit socks. Only one is pictured cause I didn't photograph the other yet. It's in pink cameo from bernat yarns. I loved making it because you use ww yarn and size 8 dpns. It is a perfect first sock project for newbie sock knitters like me. Although the gusset on the left side is all wonkie and there's a little dip just where the foot starts and the heel ends. Sorry there's no action shot, I made my daugther's size and she's at school. Here's the sock:

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / pattern ideas? on: February 05, 2007 03:44:38 PM
Hi. I just purchased a ball of Patons Evita yarn at my local dollar tree and was wondering if anyone has worked with this yarn before and what project it would be best for. I am thinking scarf but I always do scarves. Any ideas or comments about how the yarn works up would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Smiley
