1  UNITED STATES / Vermont / Lessons on how to use a sewing machine on: July 23, 2006 12:05:46 PM
Hello all!

Everytime I see a great craft for clothes, (Sweater into a wedding dress!  Tshirt into pants!) I get the urge to do them.  The problem is that while I can sew by hand, I don't know how to use a sewing machine, or how to use a pattern.  Is anyone giving lessons?  Any places that offer to teach people how to sew clothes?  Even anyone who teaches people simply how to use a sewing machine?  If there's nothing, maybe that would be a great on the side job...I would definately, be down for that.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / How to make your luggage stand out? on: June 08, 2006 03:56:08 PM
So I'm about to buy some luggage, after researching everything I have finally picked out two that I like.  Unforunately, they're pretty bland colors, the type that will blend in with everyone elses.  How can I make it look different?

Sorry I didn't know where to put this topic, and a suitcase is like a huge purse...so I figured this might be the right topic.

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Low on funds and I want to know if there is any way to make this lampshade! on: June 24, 2004 03:30:31 PM
Hello!  I want to make my boyfriend something really special for this birthday, something personalized and not too expensive since I dont have a lot of money.
I want to make him something involving light and photos, or more specifically light from a lamp.  I saw this and I was wondering, any ideas on how to make this lampshade or some variation of it?

(I'm such a dolt, I forgot to add the link) http://ww1.pbteen.com/cat/pip.cfm?snav=1&pkey=clgtoth&gids=p139&ctid=lgtoth&area=shp

Thank you bunches! Grin
