Rico's on his way to IL, and I'm eagerly awaiting Marizzy!

Here are a couple pics that didn't end up shipping off with Rico.

Contemplating the merits of gluttony in the gelato shop where I work:

Rico's finally home from the post office, and he's been immensely helpful, sorting out all of the veggies for my most recent batch of chili.

3  Wire and bead earrings: my first since junior high! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by AvadaKefatta on: January 24, 2009 11:55:06 PM
I've been feeling a certain lack of creative energy in my life since... well, for a really long time. So when I awoke today to find that I had absolutely nothing to do, I decided to change that unfortunate fact. I dug my beads and miscellaneous other supplies out of my dusty crafting boxes, and after a quick supply run to the local craft store, I made my first pairs of earrings since the last time I used my beads in junior high school ( Undecided).

The first pair didn't turn out like I wanted them, but they're still coolish. (Please forgive the awful image quality--the only camera I own is on my phone.)

The second and third pairs I <3 <3 <3! So simple, yet so pretty.

I didn't even realize that I had crafted a pair of G-clef earrings until I was reviewing the images. Obviously, the one shown in the pic above is backwards, but its mate is facing the right way for a G-clef.

And I discovered a really nifty and convenient way to keep hook earrings (if you have a spare, rarely-used window blind available):

I hope this means my creative juices are flowing again.

4  monstrous vday card (hardly even crafty) in Valentine's Day by AvadaKefatta on: February 19, 2007 07:21:52 PM
Home made vday cards are always the best. I don't know if this card even counts as a craft (except for the googly eyes), but I'm proud of it (and so pissed at myself for smudging some of the text in the lower left corner).

This is the first time I've ever had a boyfriend during vday! Yay! He loved this card...
