What better way to get rid of small scraps of fabric AND not have to pay for expensive clothes!

Just thought I would share a few outfits that I have made recently and links to a few sites which I used or which had cute patterns (most are for blythe, but do fit generally well).

(Please excuse the lighting, the sun and the clouds were playing tag!)

Maid Costume

Halter dress

Sock sweater and flared jeans

Polka dot tank tunic and black leggings

Obi and sleeve view

Sock sweater II

Tshirt dress and striped leggings

Tank top and circle skirt

Underwear set

Sport swimsuit

Purses and other underwear

Thanks for looking!

3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Anyone seen this fabric? on: July 11, 2010 06:32:52 PM
I just recently got Butterick pattern 5152 and I really want to make the short sleeved version in the same yellow printed fabric as its shown on the cover (or something similar) and as much as i've searched and can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know where (online probably) or from who I can find such a fabric??

Here's a picture of the pattern:

Please excuse how terrible these pictures are, i'm sure plenty of you know how hard it is to get a decent picture by yourself. Anywhooo

I've only really gotten into sewing in the past few months. Can knit, crochet, etc all that, but this is the one thats a lil difficult for me. I don't think it helps that I have to alter my patterns almost 100% of the time because of my size.

this was the first thing I made and I think it was also the most time consuming

this was made out of an old sheet and was really just for practicing

this is the one that made me discover that knit fabric can be my friend and foe

mini dress that I never really got to fit me right (another altering nightmare)

I <3 this pattern, i'm sure everyone is familiar with it on here

this is a convertible dress I made to wear for my friends b-day, its hard to see the ties since its black but theyre wrapped around under my bust twice and tied in the back. Theres about 8 ways the pattern showed to tie it.

Any suggestions or c/c are appreciated as these are my first clothes to make and if anyone wants the names of the patterns let me know so I can dig them up!

Thanks to ournew for posting this wonderful pattern http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=169562.0

I now have my own! and I love him!

the only thing I wish i had done differently was crocheted tighter because you can see his stuffing through some weak spots, but really, who's perfect?  Cheesy
