111  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Using Images that Aren't Your's? (reposted) on: April 01, 2007 10:01:26 PM
So I reposted my question from the shoes discussion board (I hope this isn't breaking a Craftster rule  Undecided ) because it wasn't getting much, um, "publicity" there.

I don't want to get in trouble for using images in my crafts that aren't mine, so I wanted to ask a question. I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, but I get paranoid about these things...

I've found some cute images that I want to draw on my shoes, and they aren't mine. Could I be able to use these images if I didn't sell what I'm making? I'm not planning to sell the shoes...I appreciate your help! Thanks in advance.

113  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Help on Tote Bag! on: March 30, 2007 02:50:43 PM
When I perused the Purse Tutorials, I was looking for an easy bag that a beginner with no experience could tackle. So then I found the "easy peasy tote." However, I found that it wasn't so easy after all. Well, at least to me... I'm confused by everything. Now that I've cut out my pieces what do I do? I don't understand how you pin the sides and bottom together and then sew it...I'm so frustrated that I can't even master the "easy peasy tote!"  Cry

Here's the link to the tote bag tutorial:

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
114  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Cleaned out my room=JUNK! on: March 24, 2007 05:16:46 PM
I need some ideas for what to do with these things:

1. Empty tissue box
2. Tons of yarn and embroidery floss scraps
3. Tons of bubble wrap
4. A stamp pad that doesn't work anymore
5. A small, shallow container that has scratches and marks all over it
6. Fake flower petals
7. A set to make flower fairies (e.g. fake flowers, wooden beads for heads...etc.)

I would appreciate any help! Thank you!
115  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Pipe Cleaners on: March 23, 2007 09:39:24 AM
I have pipe cleaners in various colors, but I don't know what to do with them.
116  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / You're probably tired of me already...Help! on: March 20, 2007 11:03:48 AM
I truly apologize for my endless questions, and I thank anyone who has answered my posts, or even just had to read them...

Okay, now I've finished the mushroom pattern from crochetme, but again, I'm having problems.  Roll Eyes (Yarnhag? Are you there?)

It says to, after finishing the trunk, "Finish off leaving long tail. Weave tail through last 7 sc and cinch tight. Weave in ends."

How do I weave the tail through to cinch it? Is it just fishtailing? I'm confused...but that's not a surprise.

I truly appreciate your help and thanks in advance.

117  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Another question: Confused by Pattern on: March 19, 2007 12:46:36 PM
In this adorable pattern: http://bittersweetblog.wordpress.com/2007/02/19/birds-of-a-feather/

In it, the first direction is to "sc 6 into a circle." How do I do that? How do I make a circle?  Huh

I apologize for my endless questions, but I would really appreciate your help!
118  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Weaving in ends and sewing a pig together? Help! on: March 19, 2007 10:48:05 AM
I'm done with a project, but now I need to weave in ends. And I don't know how, because even a nexstitch video doesn't show what I need.

1. First of all, my entire project is sc. I don't know where to weave in my ends because its not a perfectly straight row of chains where I can just fishtail around. If it is important, the project I am working on is here: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27147

2. For the easier spots to weave in, I don't know how to finish it off. When there is barely any yarn left to thread, what do I do?

The last (hopefully) question is how do I sew the pig together? I have the ear and the legs left to sew on. What do I do?

I would appreciate your help! Thanks in advance!
119  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How to sew together a shrug? on: March 18, 2007 03:29:00 PM
Well, I'm excited to say that I finished knitting the Everybody's Doing it Shrug. However, with my lack of sewing skills, I don't know how to sew the too ends together. How should I sew it? And should I use the loose ends to sew it, or weave them in?

The link to the shrug pattern is here:

Thanks in advance!
120  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / What to do with Paint Chip Samples? on: March 18, 2007 09:40:04 AM
Well, I saw the paint chip needle case in the completed projects section, and I realized that I had tons of these left over. Anyone have ideas on what to do with paint chip samples?
