behold the homemade whole wheat tortillas, homemade salad filling (black beans, corn, pepper, cumin, lime etc. sooooo yum), and the homemade vegan sour cream. all from the lovins of my heart. it was so good too. i can give recipes if anyoone wants.
ok so this one is one of those 'clean the fridge out' samms. hah. tons of summer veggies (mushrooms, carrots, lettuce, spinach, pepper etc) with a little lemon hummus on whole wheat. it totally hit the spot.
does anyone else have any good sammich combos without dairy/eggs that i can try? what is your fave???
Ohh yah its summer. That is why I love to make sammies. Gone are the days of slow cooked veggie chili and soups. Today I made a really niceee sammy. -Cherry juice marinated tofu, roasted until slightly cripsy -roasted zucchini and mushrooms -garden fresh spinach -fresh roasted red bell peppers -red onion -balsamic vinegar and olive oil all on a fresh toasted piece of baguette. in my opinion, toasting is really the icing on the cake. scrumpyyy
well, again, digging into my sewing class's closet resulted in a fabby fabric find. the print has been described as 80s/southwest/arizona/new mexico/native american print. the pattern is the built by you pants pattern. these were so easy and hassle free. its the second pair i made from the pattern. sweet!
yup you heard. all i have to say about these photos/camera i used is: oh the goddamn confusion and luck. all taken with a Ansco Telephoto 110 Camera, salvaged from the thrift store.
one day i got this really great idea that i should make printed shorts. ohhhh yes. so i borrowed some fabby fabric from the endless closet of boxes of fabric from my sewing class. the pattern is simplicity 3850, its a built by wendy, which i love. i had some trouble with the fly front zipper, the directions were wayyyyy confusing. i had to improvise a little. other than that, the pattern was great. love my new shortttttz
ok... so..i got this fabric from a swap meet when i went to california. it was in a big pile with other ends of fabric. im pretty sure they were ends of big ass bolts that clothing/textiles companies bought. well yah. got back to illinoize and what do you know, the fabric was infested with fleas. careful bleaching got rid of the bugs and now i have a dress that is toooooooo comfy. booyah gramma just above the knees. im wearing a white shirt under it.
This is my first real cake. it's chocolate vegan cake, with vegan choc. chips in the cake part, vegan chocolate mousse filling and frosting, and vegan choc. buttercream icing. i made all the cake and frostings from scratch! i hope it isnt tooo chocolatey.
i made this bag with the beautiful tutorial supplied by thejordy [findable at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=32204.0 ] the tutorial was so great and it worked perfectly. i made it in less than an hour. the bag is made from muslin and very stiff interfacing [first time using interfacing aswell] and i used my new sewing skills from my sewing class. well more like things i didnt used to do before, such as pressing and well.. pressing. now to the pictures!
