1  Gory Halloween makeup? Oh yeah. in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by lucydoeslaundry on: November 04, 2008 07:50:19 PM
So, as always, Halloween snuck up on me this year, leaving me with limited costume options.
I opted to try my hand at gory makeup, and much to my surprise - I had a little bit of luck.
We threw my brother a 21st birthday party/costume bash and I did his makeup as well. Wish I had better pictures of that..

Shame on my boyfriend for not wearing a costume. Shaaame.

Applying my makeup in class.

You can't really tell, but he had a bullet hole in one side of his head, a black eye, and then this really gross infected gash on his chin.

I only wish I had known that getting of molding wax was a pain.  Undecided

2  My first project.. ever? in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by lucydoeslaundry on: February 27, 2007 07:38:51 PM
Other than the occasional button replacement, or something silly like that, I had never sewn until this week in my Drama class.
My teacher was away on Broadway performing in HAIRSPRAY!! (She won the Big Bopper Dance Topper contest, if any of you have heard of it.)
The guys in my class made a joke about how we should make kilts and have her best friend, who's a costume designer come in and substitute for her. Well, we followed through, just as we do with all of our jokes in that class.

Well, to make a long story short, I showed the costume designer a very simple skirt (Awe, no kilts for me.) from Anthropologie, he asked me what he thought I would do to construct it, and told me to get on it.

Without a pattern, or any sewing-related knowledge, I constructed this skirt that I am very proud of. Smiley

My room is pretty boring. Sad

Thanks for looking.  Cheesy
