Hey all,

I've got these sugar skull style earrings as a gift and even though I could just reconnect the earring hook back on, I don't think I'd actually wear them as earrings   I think I'd be better off trying to turn them into perhaps a necklace?  Maybe continuing with some beadwork similar to what's on the earring already? Idk, what do you think?

Looks great!  So far so good I thought I had accidentally gone to a copycat site because I wasn't paying attention when I typed in the address.  (I'm at work and I don't bookmark anything on my work pc)

Wow, I remember how much fun it was having a penpal.

My name is Jackie and I'm 24.  I live in New Jersey, in the NYC metro area, with my parents and sister and I also have a boyfriend of over two years.  I have no human kids but I do have a lovely 11 month old Border Collie/GSD mix named Brandy () who can be as much of a handful as a child.  I also have a (omg, I don't know how old he is) handsome canary named Beaker.  My previous dog was named Gonzo so when birdie came along, that name seemed to fit in more ways than one LoL.  I also have recently taken over caretaking duties of Donatello the turtle when my sister just plain didn't want to take care of it anymore   b/c otherwise my parents wanted to dump it at the local park's lake ( like he would survive).

As far as craft related....hoo boy, I don't think I'm very crafty at all After reading the posts in this thread, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who's not a hardcore crafter.  I think I'm more of a decorator  rather than a crafter per se; I'm more so crafty when the moment presents itself like: "we have a blank space on the wall and need something to fill it" rather than just having ideas flow all the time.

Hmm, I'm not quite sure what else to say since I figure it would give me something to talk about with my (potential!) penpal.  C'mon...there's gotta be someone that lurvs a Jersey girl!

Looks nice, but I don't know if I'd wear it as a short necklace, maybe a long one like Hailz suggested.  My FIRST thought though, was that it'd be cool as a charm on a ceiling fan pull chain.  I love how those little charms can add some personality yet be functional at the same time...but maybe that's just me since I'm so short I always seem to have trouble reaching....

I don't know if should happen to be a teacher or something like that because this would probably be a good craft to do with kids but if you still have the lids to the glass bottles, you can turn them into little snowglobes.  Glue some little figures or w/e onto the lid, put some water and glitter in the bottle and screw the lid on.  Shake and Enjoy!

Was outside helping the parents spruce up the yard for sprinummer (yea, that's the new season here in NJ ) and saw this med. sized terracotta pot that they wanted to throw out b/c it was cracked.  I'd like to salvage it b/c it's just a hairline crack, otherwise it's in perfect condition (duh, right? ).  If anyone has any ideas of what I could do with it, or at least what I could use to seal the crack?

Sweet! Definately gonna try this...but I have one question.  What size pack do you mean?  The big family pack that has like, four rows of cookies? LoL!  Sorry if it's an annoying ? but I can't recall seeing any other sizes besides the small 4 cookie snack pack...

I see you have alot of flat-ish pieces, so why don't you try making a windchime? Erm, wait...is that too close to your mobile suggestion, dirtyprettythings?  Didn't mean to step on ur toes 

My parent's have had their bedroom set since they got married so that's like 20-something odd years and they're finally planning to get new furniture (mostly my dad's doing)  They also have these (2) lamps that my dad is dying to get rid of but I'm desperately trying to find a way to fix them up so they could possibly be kept, I guess because I think they're so vintagey cool and I can't bear to just throw them away LoL.
Crap, I forgot to measure the height, but they're pretty tall even though they're meant to be put on end tables.  They have a 3-way switch, the first click (?) lighting up the bowl (?) on the bottom, the second lighting the lampshade and the third lighting up both.  Can't post pics yet so here are the links:
