I went to school (briefly) at Hollins, I had completely forgotten the star.  OH!  memories flooding back!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Purple and Black on: February 05, 2008 11:16:20 AM
I made this little number for my brother's wedding.  My SIL's colors were dark purple, it was SO hard for me to get inspired.  But finally a really big bow and Sunny's dress from A Series of Unfortunate Events combined in my mind along with purple shot taffeta and black ribbons to create this.

I had to completely redo and alter the bodice because my dd's shoulders were too narrow.

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Teeth Earrings on: February 04, 2008 01:15:17 PM
YAY!!!!  I have 3 wisdom teeth knocking around here.  Mostly they just gross out my husband.  Earrings would dend him over the moon. LOL!

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Sweatshirt to Tote? on: January 14, 2008 11:21:19 AM
I have this sweatshirt, I like the color and the image - but not so much to wear.  I need a knitting bag and I thought I could make a cute tote out of it and preserve the image.  Any ideas for me?

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Super fast purses GREAT GIFT! on: January 11, 2008 08:11:56 PM
I got it at my LYS in POrtland Oregon
Someone made it up for a class and they gave me a copy of it before it was ready.  I don't know if it is a free pattern or for sale but it is copywrighted so i can't just give it to you even though it is SO easy I have it memorized.
it is by Sue Olsen and is called Seed Stitch Cable Purse.

Here is the website of the store I bought it at www.theknittingbee.com

Maybe you could e-mail and aske them where to score a copy?

I wanted all of the linings to be fun and/or suprising but the selection at Joann's is LAME-O .  Pretty much florals and nothing else.
