CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: What's in a perfect bag?

What I look for in a bag is at least one small pocket for cell phone, chapstick, bus fare, anything I don't want getting lost in the bottom of the main compartment. I like pockets less than I like simple cloth deviders. I usually have two categories of stuff in my bag, stuff that's always there (wallet, iPod, tissues, etc) and stuff I decided to haul around with me that day (novel, crafting, notepad) so even a single devider makes it easier to identify what's where.

KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Difficulty level

One of my Christmas gifts was a set of those plastic "Niffty Knitter" looms (you know the kind where you wrap the pegs and loop the yarn over and presto a scarf!) because I had expressed the desire to learn how to knit.
So I made a couple simple scarves and hats for friends and family. Now I really want to learn how to knit properly with needles and I was wondering how much a jump in difficulty level I'll be experiencing. Obviously I know better than to buy my first needles and boldly decide I want to knit a sweater, I know it'll probably be some more simple scarves to begin with, but how hard is it to jump from making a scarf on the loom to making a scarf on needles? (not that hard projects scare me, I adore difficult things)
