1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Affordable Web Design company or designers? on: December 17, 2009 07:28:11 AM
I would recommend using pagebuzz.com because you can have a website that you can create and update yourself, with a shopping cart, 12 hour a day/7 days a week fantastic customer service, and web hosting all for only $9.99 per month.  I believe that they even provide a blog.

If you can type you can create your own website with pagebuzz.com without knowing any HTML.

They have a ton of templates to choose from.

Yep, I was going to suggest them, too!  I just started mine up this month with them.  You can use the simple side of it, or if you're a little more experienced, used the advanced side of it.  And yes, they have tons of templates to use!  That was the hardest part, picking out your "look"!  Good luck!
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: HELP! I got a Cease & Desist...what should I do now?!? (EDITED w/ "Resolution") on: December 17, 2009 07:24:27 AM
This has been a very informative topic and thanks for sharing your story.  I guess I'm still confused about when you can or can't use something.  For example, someone buys a used item and uses the Harley Davidson patch from it and sews it onto a tote bag (that they made from scratch).  I saw an example of that over at the handmade selling site.  They were contacted to C&D because of the used Harley patch.  I know HD is very protective of their logo and I know there are many others out there that are the same.  I guess the moral of the story is to not use anyone else's logo......
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Homemade chalkboards on: December 17, 2009 06:55:24 AM
That is really a neat idea!  I bought some chalkboard paint but haven't used it yet.  You could do that in a child's room........since I know at least one of mine decorated their walls with crayons.

What a great idea!  And fashionable, too.  I bet your kitty is bumming though..........you took away his toy!  Sad

That is awesome!  I love the colors they give off with the light on (and the rest of the lights off).  Wonderful idea........thanks for sharing!  Now that is truly a one-of-a-kind!!

They look really cute, scattered around your yard like that!
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Re: more animals in my garden... now it's fishes in a fake mini-pond! on: August 05, 2009 01:27:00 PM
I love it!  It's such a cute idea!  We do have a "real" pond in our backyard with feeder goldfish that have gotten huge (why buy expensive Koi?).  But, luckily, my cat stays inside.  Did lose some of the fish when they were small by passing birds!

Now, you need to come up with some other "fake" things, like a stream with trout or frogs!
