1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Transformers Toque **Link to Pattern on Page 1** on: October 03, 2007 08:43:35 AM
THANK YOU!!!! Cheesy   I just printed out the pattern to take hom and start. Although this is quite the distraction from the 7 other things I have on my needles... I have this habit of not finishing things... I have to make one more glove, decrease a beanie, finish the last half of a beanie... Sigh. I should do that first. And don't worry about the colors, I have leftover yarn from my "we call them pirates" beanie... so mine will be in black and white. Smiley  I was thinking, too... I might reverse the colors on mine on the inside... black with white symbols, and on the inside white with black lettering... I dunno yet. Thanks again. Smiley

I love the way Noro looks when used in the Calorimetry pattern! I used parts of two balls to make mine and I loved the way it turned out! I also found it slightly eerie that your button is so similar to mine. Smiley That style wood button just seemed the way to go.

When I read your original post, my immediate reaction was "Holy @#$%!" And then reading your follow up post... I could completely picture my boy taking the hat and making the noises and saying the exact same thing... I could also picture him saying "when I'm in a bad mood, I'll wear decepticon in front... when I'm in a good mood, I'll wear the autobot in front... and when I'm just 'meh', I'll wear the inside." Which is all the more reason I'm thrilled that you are going to be posting a tutorial.... My boy has a decepticon tattoo, he doesn't want this... he needs it. lol  Btw, I hit "This Rocks" because it truly does. Totally awesome job!

Oh wow. That is one awesome hat. I'm not sure that my boyfriend would wear it... but his 1 yr old nephew would have no choice. Cheesy  (that means that yes, I would desire said pattern. hehehehe)

Thank you so much for posting the pattern! I could hug you. Cheesy
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: hoo rah hoo rah, rutgers rah! a wip.... on: June 12, 2007 08:02:26 AM
I, too, am making a garter stitch blanket... my cousin is due in July. Tongue I love the stocking stitch for the R, it makes it pop more than it would have. Smiley

I'm tried duplicate stitch once... and I was no good. I don't think you can do it in garter, so I would say do it over the st. stitch in the red. Hope that helped!

That is freaking fantastic. I have been trying to make a Decepticon chart for months now, and for some reason it always comes out wrong. The boyfriend wears a Decepticon baseball hat and I'd like to make a scarf to match... So naturally I'm extremely jealous of the super cool hat. Smiley  lol  Is there any way you could post a chart? If not, I completely understand.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Noro Silk Garden Cable Beanie on: May 23, 2007 10:58:29 AM
Well, you've inspired me to use up my one skein of silk garden! Great job and the colors are amazing. Isn't Noro fantastic?
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Surfs Up! Lobster, Octopus & Clam (Knit Amigurumi) on: May 23, 2007 10:39:49 AM
These are too freaking cute! I have an entire collection devoted to stuffed lobsters (I know... I'm odd.) so now I'm off to buy your patterns... It's a darn good thing I ordered too much red yarn after I bought the ant/ladybug/bumblebee patterns. Tongue  Thanks for designing such adorable knit amigurumi!
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: ankle socks! on: May 23, 2007 10:34:34 AM
Those socks are darling! Thanks so much for the pattern link. You chose a great colorway to give the socks some their own personality. Smiley
