3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / LESSON I'VE LEARNED on: May 28, 2007 06:50:56 AM
Hi!!

I only wanted to share something it has happened to me today.

I make tote bags and a girl from my work asked me to make one for her. She told me she would pay for it but we did not talk about the amount.

I made one which I didn't like the quality and I told her it would take some more days because I wanted to repeat it. Today I told her the product was finished and she asked me how much it costed. I thought 18 Euros was a fair price but it seemed too much for her. She wanted to pay 15 Euros... I have to see her every day and I don't want to be a witch, so I have accepted 15 euros...

The worst is that her friend ordered me another one last week and I'm sure she will tell me to pay 15 too...

What I've learnt and I want to share with you is that I'm not going to accept any other "order" if I do not have clear, the kind of product they want and the price they have accepted and they will pay!   Shocked

Hi!

Nice pattern and I agree that maybe it would have been better with another fabric.

I've seen you've put a "hidden" pocket. Could you please explain how did you sew it? I have no idea and I would llike to meka one like this!!!!  Grin

Catalan is not a problem!!! Everybody speaks Spanish but maybe there are some people who feels more comfortable with Catalan.

I'm from Barcelona, so if you need some words or sentences to be translated, let me know!!!

Hi Dorion!

Thank you very much for your answer!

I was looking something like that:

http://www.snapsource.com/store/products.php?categoryParentName=Snaps&categoryName=Size%2014

Maybe you know other shops online where I can find this type of snaps?

Hi!

I want to make some new purses and I've decided to stop with zips and start with snap buttons.

The problem is I guess I need a button machine. I've tried to find one if these in Barcelona, but no luck...

Does anyone know where can I purchase one? Maybe by internet???

Thanks a lot!!!!   Wink

Hi!

I just wanted to know more details about the black pinafore dress you made!!!

Summer is here and I think I could be perfect for the relaxing days... hehehe  Grin

Which kind of fabric did you use and the most important: measures and how did you sew it???

I've never made anything except purses and totes... Do you think I'll be able to do that???

Thanks!!!!
