I did this cotton shirt with freezer paper and bleach. (Just made sure it was ironed on real good before I bleached and blotted the excess of the paper as I went.)

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Clothing making for a Horror Convention on: September 28, 2009 01:30:16 PM
Oh lucky you!  Smiley Sounds like a lot of fun.

As for ideas...zombies are fairly easy to do, dead bride, dead anything really.   Grin For a zombie just shred the bottoms of top and pants or a dress, add some dirt and blood stains/wounds and paint your face.

Thank you so much. I didn't think there was really a difference but wanted to be sure before I started cutting. Smiley

Are the patterns different for off shoulder peasant tops than for on shoulder?  Embarrassed

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: hippie tye dye shirts! on: September 21, 2009 08:21:00 PM
If you want deeper and more durable colors try the fiber reactive dyes at Dharma Trading. Tie dying is so addictive! Smiley
9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Jean legs on: September 02, 2009 07:02:22 AM
Jean pant legs make really cute aprons. Smiley

Cut off legs, open one side seam on each leg and also cut off the double seam, sew the 2 legs together together. The widest end is the bottom of the apron. Add neck ties and waist ties. I didn't hem the outside edges of mine so it has the frayed look. I used back pockets from an old pair of jeans and added pockets to the apron. And I used the cut off double seams to make my neck and waist ties.
