1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Handspun Yarn & Fiber Swap Round 2 GALLERY on: July 09, 2009 06:48:43 PM
Sooo I received my package the other day from RhymeswOrange! I was headed out the door to our local farmers market to do some spinning with some friends and low and behold there my package was. I was really excited and opened the top but stopped myself so my friends and I could see what was inside together Cheesy I was amazed at how much she spoiled me! A pretty card, TONS of hand-dyed roving in NEON colors just to my liking! And a cute hand-sewn reversible project bag made out of an asian print that MATCHES my kimono I made for my senior project!!! I am so stoked to receive such great gifts and now I feel like I don't match what I sent!!! ;_;

On to the photos! I realized I forgot to take a picture of the beautifully spun ball of yarn she spun for me but trust me, it's amazing!

These are all millends, I love how BRIGHT in real life they are!!!

Thank you sooooo much RhymeswOrange <3!

I haven't touched my spinning wheel in about 6 months, so I am now just getting back into the groove. All I have is merino...TONS of merino and honestly... I don't really enjoy spinning it...but, I am really trying to do a nice two ply. I want my plied yarns to look like Cloudlover's and MissHawklet's... that would be amazing Cheesy Love all the stuff up so far! On the bobbin: Merino.. calling it Cheshire Cat.

8  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: How much do dreads shrink? on: November 17, 2007 09:44:47 AM
Lengthwise, mine don't shrink at all
Which surprised me greatly when I realised.
All the shrinking took place in the width

Yep, this happend to me too! It kinda stinks that it shrinks width wise, but I actually found that my dreads became a tad bit LONGER length wise! [off side comment- I admire all your work on here and on heavenly hair and your work convinced me to make dreads and felt since I am a huge spinner/knitter lol!]
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My first socks!!! on: November 10, 2007 07:44:18 AM
