In my experience, a bead stringing wire works the best. I use Beadalon 19 strand wire. It is a plastic coated wire so its nice and strong but still flows nicely around the neck or wrist. I mentioned a link to you on another question and they have the stuff a good price.craftland.net

Try here. They don't have to many options but the price is pretty good. Craftland.net

I haven't looked for them in forever so I don't know. The best place to find them is at yard sales and thrift stores!

It looks like the original cassette was already clear blue. The record able ones cane in different colors like blue and a clear black.  Prerecorded ones were clear allot of times. If you want to change to all over color, Krylon makes a paint specifically for plastics so it doesn't flake off. You can also find paint on versions. Testores also makes transparent enamel paints. It doesn't look like it actually has glitter on it(look closely and you don't see shadowing over the stickers and they are nice and flat). Contact makes holographic paper that you can cut into the shape you want and stick it on. Of course you can then stick anything on top of that.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: RESIN on: August 19, 2007 02:31:12 PM
For you ladies that have experience with resin, when making bottle tops filled with resin and maybe a picture or two, how would you propose going about this? Do you think that if I used regular magazine clippings it would bleed through? Thanks a bunch!
The best thing to use is a decoupage glue like mod podge. Its basically a seal on both sides to keep the bleed through from happening. Use it as an adhesive on one side then a sealant on the other.

I use something called fix-all. its made by crazy glue and it ROCKS! It comes in a smaller tube thats easier to deal with. You don't use to much at time time so it last for a while but its inexpensive. it glues everything to everything and it lasts! I use it for many of the projects on my website.

Just to go back to the getting started aspect, most craft stores that sell bead tool kits also sell assortment packages of seed beads and basic beads. Thats a great way to start your bead collection. Its also has built in storage which is always a plus. You can also get small (2x2) storage bags that also work well for storage! These also come in large quantities(250). These stores also sell findings in large quantities at cheap prices.

I spend more time picking the right color combos than I do actually stringing. It is so relaxing! I have a how to website and I mostly having stringing in the jewelry section. It is a great craft for people of all skill levels! Cheesy

yay!! People in Las Vegas! My husband and I moved to LV a year ago. I LOVE it but we work from home. Alas that means no friends Cry . I got myself a parttime job at Micheals on Lake Mead and Tenaya but going to work is just an excuse to buy more craft stuff. I started a craft "how-to" website since I am always crafting. I would love to get together with fellow crafters. I glass paint, make candles and soap, bead, and everything you could imagine for a house! My intent in college was interior design but decided working was more important. We should plan to get a group together sometime!
