1  Re: Dueces Wild Flower Pin Swap Pics in The Swap Gallery by Spork on: October 18, 2004 01:13:42 PM
Here are the flowers that I sent. You have to forgive their imperfections- they were my first felt project, my first flower project, my first pin project...  Other than that- I'm an old pro. Roll Eyes I grew fond of the daisy and almost stole it.

I'm not sure to whom I sent which flower either but I hope that they both enjoy them.  Kiss

2  Vinyl and Photoshop in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Spork on: September 10, 2004 11:45:02 AM
This is fun- I've made a lot of purses and bags and things with pictures on them by drawing the picture, scanning it, printing it on printable fabric, then ironing clear vinyl on top of it. I LOVE using this technique because it's durable, but it's also a little stiff. Here are some little wallet/things that I did that way and used layered blue vinyl to do the water. Some other editions are in the works, with layered vinyl to create other foregrounds like trees with different creatures in the back.

3  Sticker Stencilling in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Spork on: September 09, 2004 04:40:58 PM
I've been drawing and creating a lot of character stencils for spray painting on everything I can get my grubby hands on... one of my favorites are stickers... and if any of you deal with overnite shipping companies- certain ones have sheets and rolls of stickers that you can order in large quantities, for free with an account, since you're supposed to use them to print labels.

Just thought I'd point that out.  Wink Have fun.

4  Crafting with Change in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Spork on: June 26, 2004 03:52:07 PM
I thought that I'd throw this out there since I'm pretty new and have already picked up a lot of awesome pointers from this board and wanted to give a little one of mine.

Pennies can be a hell of a lot of fun. Go to a hardware store like Harbor Freight (my favorite- and always an inspiration) and pick up an industrial handpunch for metal. It's less than 20 bucks and comes with multiple punch sizes. Punch some holes in pennies and have fun! Here's a wristband that I made- you can make all kinds of jewelry- earrings, even handbags or "change" purses  Cheesy if you want to. This is the one I kept for myself- but they look even better when you have 3 rows in thick leather and use laces to tie it corset-style rather than snaps.

One more thing- if you want all shiny pennies, or to do a checkerboard-type pattern, childhood science experiments tell me that salt and vinegar clean your dirty copper wonderfully- don't leave them in the concoction too long, or they turn black with green build-up (which is also cool). In addition- sprinkle the concoction on the pennies, then wash it off for polka dot pennies.

Have fun!
