111  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Make it one third on: January 15, 2007 03:26:08 AM
I'm new to the board, found it completely by accident lol. but hopefully it is ok for me to post an idea for a challenge Smiley

First I guess I should tell you a little bit about me, I'm a doll seamstress crafter, etc.... for about 8 years, but have been involved in some sort of art my entire life (if it can be done I've attempted it, if it was fun I've done it twice Wink).  I don't see things in stores as what they are but as what they could be if I changed them (I'm sure many of you here are in that same boat lol!)

My Craft Challenge Idea

Being involved with ABJD (asian ball jointed dolls) which are 1/3 scale dolls, it is very hard to find accesories, furniture and such that are the right scale for them.  So my challenge idea for you would be to make something that is realastic in 1/3 scale (or one third the size of a human sized item).

I would also be willing, if it were chosen as a challenge to put together a page on my website with links to your sites/stores and photos to all the things that were entered and advertise them among my customers for you (by posting on my own BJD board, as well as on the ones my friends run)

We are constantly looking for small fun things that we can buy that are the right size for our dolls that don't necessarily look like toys.  (everything from purses, jewelry, furniture, books, foods, dishes, belts, hats, etc....)

I would happily provide size information for those of you that wanted it as well as things you can use to make things like hats and such without having to have a doll there with you. (They are very expensive ranging from $400 to $1000+)

Anyway I don't know if this is a challenge that would be of interest to anyone but it is one that I can guarantee would bring many of you some unconventional business Smiley  I guess for the challenge to work you would need to make items that you would be willing to part with for money.  Most of us are not made of money but I know I have personally paid as much as $125 for a nicely made accessory for my dolls.  (It was a bed)

I could also provide a prize to the winner of the contest, maybe a 4 page website design?  I'm excellent with coding.  Anyway again, I hope that it is ok that I've posted a challenge idea eventhough I'm a new poster.

Looking forward to being a part of the board Cheesy
