A few weeks ago my 4 color silver press arrived.  Have had quite a time in getting all the little bits and pieces together for making the process run smoothly.  (getting the right printer for the films, buying a pressure washer, getting the little adjustments right, and remembering important steps lol) 

So last night the daughter and I did a quickie design (think we could have done better on the art but regardless)  I decided we were printing no matter what we did lol.

She wanted a Jacob and bella shirt to wear to the movie in about a month.  Not going to bore you with a ton of details but thought I would share the results (there are more photos and lots more details in the blog link here http://cohesivechaos.com/2009/10/the-monster-in-my-dining-room/

 

I'll try to get a photo of her actually wearing it so that you can see the print better later when she's home from school.  Opinions and thoughts greatly appreciated

I really have no desire to organize anything but want to throw this out there into the pool of wonderful ideas - Any interest in a Son's of Anarchy themed swap? 

It's an amazing show, so well thought out, wonderful characters and complex story lines - albeit possibly a bit on the touchy or dark side of things But you've got guns - motorcycles - bikers - porn stars - doctors - FBI - mayhem and more - the ideas for potential crafting are quite deep.

If you've not seen it the first season is just now available on DVD (and for netflix users you can watch it online) and the 2nd season is on the 4th episode tomorrow night Comes on FX tuesday nights 10pm (at least in the pacific time zone) 

I'd most likely want to participate just don't know I can wrap my head around organizing right now. 

I have about 5 minutes before I have to leave to pick up the kids from school but wanted to get this up before I go, just finished it and I'm real pleased (I'd posted last night for opinions on coloring the octopus)

So just to update a little - it's made with crayola model magic and the only 'tool' I used is a toothpick.  It took about 30 hours in total to make.

Opinions greatly appreciated!

I've been working non stop on this for a bit and am to a 'point' where I have to make a decision, I need to determine what color scheme to do for my octopus, I've included a few up close shots of bits of this it's rather tiny and I'm still adding color and blending a bit but could definitely use some input before I go much further
Last shot is with a double A battery just to show the scale.

I made this fabric vase for a container for the jar of whimsies swap, and since my partner received I figure I can show it off a little   My partner is pretty green so I made this using scrap pieces of fabric and timtex to make a vase, I liked it with the raw edges I thought it added to the overall feel of it.  It's 5 sided and forms a 'star' opening which I thought was super fun Would love your opinions and/or thoughts

I was bored one morning (or procrastinating over cleaning off the table) and decided to toy around and make some things with the stuff I was meant to be putting up, the following is the result of that.  They incorporate lots of stuff into them clay resin ink pigment etc... And I've listed them in order of how much I like them lol.  They are very different from what I normally do but I quite love them.  Now just to decide if I am the kind of girl that can get away with wearing them. Thoughts and opinions most appreciated!

I had to enlist the help of my daughter to get a photo of this one.  And of course she ran her finger down the lens of my camera leaving a smudge, I'll attempt later to get a different photo of it without the smeary blur down the center.

It's made with gunmetal components, Magnesite and glass.  I think it's rather beautiful but would love to hear your thoughts/opinions.

I didn't mod the fit of the shirt at all, but I had to applique the skull and get back to my roots.  I used this skull on an evening gown recently (waiting for the opportunity to get good photos of it but need help with that)

It's been a while since I sat down and played with resin.  I love it as an art form as there is so much space in such a little space to express creativity.  

A miriad of stuff went into each pendant to give them the look they have, I hope you'll enjoy viewing them.  Comments and such appreciated (they feed the creative monster inside, lol)

These were liberating pieces I took my poetry and cut it up and divided it between a number of different hearts.

Two wallets loosely based off a tutorial I saw on here though I decided to use piping and turn them rather than bind them and use snaps instead of velcro.  also did my own size but essentially the shape of the flap is based off the video tute I saw (is in spanish I'll add a link in a bit)  did these to use up other bits of random fabric scraps I had laying on the table and some iron on appliques I've had for ages








and a little zippered pouch I made with the remaining scraps after making the wallets trying hard to make them zero waste projects so it's asymetrical to fit the pieces I had
