1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Poof! on: November 01, 2010 03:46:44 PM
I wanted something that was fun and this definitely was...  just be prepared for people rubbing up on you all day/night. It's quite simple to make. I used 20 yards of netting, about 200 safety pins and some rope. I cut the netting into strips and puffed together and then pinned to a tank top. It was perfect because it was easy to pull on and off (sitting can be a bit difficult in this)

The head piece (which is hard to see - sorry) is small clear Christmas balls glued onto a headband and wrapped in the netting.

2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Need help.. Stabbed in the back shirt on: October 15, 2009 05:55:28 PM
I want to make a stabbed in the back shirt... white shirt, knife in the back but i cannot figure out how to attach the knife so it will stand out from my back. I thought that I would check with y'all to see if anyone had ideas that could work. I appreciate your help!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My 1st afghan on: January 01, 2009 07:36:22 AM
This is my 1st granny square afghan. I decided to start crocheting in October and this was a x-mas present for my parents. It's made using Lions Brand HomeSpun yarn.

It's not much but I'm still proud of it.

This is the whole thing (it's more lap sized than full sized)

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gifts for the crafty on: November 24, 2007 04:05:15 PM
My mother is one of the craftiest people that i know...sewing, quilting, jewelry making, clay beads, knitting, etc.... I am limited in my crafting... time being a major factor. My crafts include beading, knitting (very slow), glass etching, hand sewing (my sewing machine is not in working order) etc.

I am at a total roadblock on a Christmas present for her... what does one make for someone who can make anything? or should i just give her a bunch of crafting supplies?

I'm just in need of ideas... my dad is getting fleur de lis etched hi ball glasses. I can do something similar but i would like to do something different.

Thanks!
