I've received two of my three so far, and I am one lucky Cat!  Behold:

From Tarewyn:

The little ribbon at left was around the box (I should've taken a pic before I opened it, oh well), and the eggs were also outside the box, loose in the bag.  I needed the bag too - I couldn't fit everything back in the box!

64  So I have these beads... in Beads: Discussion and Questions by TheCraftyCat on: March 18, 2007 01:06:15 PM
I have these three pretty beads that are itching to be made into something.  Two of them were favors from a dinner I attended (the woman sitting next to me forgot to take hers, so I took it as well as mine).  The third (the one on the right) was an embellishment on a package.

I have many talents, but beading is not among them.  Any ideas?  I'd love to use them as jewelry, and I'm thinking the one on the right might look good as a stitch marker, but I have zero clue where to begin!  There's a bead store near me, so I have somewhere to buy supplies, additional beads, etc.

65  Partners in Crime - Raggedy Ann and 2 kitties in Needlework: Completed Projects by TheCraftyCat on: January 16, 2007 06:38:47 PM
I've just finished a cross stitch project I've been working on for the past few months.

It's from a kit.  Don't hurt me. Smiley  The kit is Sunset #13709, Partners in Crime.  It caught my eye for two reasons: (1) I'm a cat person, and (2) my favorite childhood toy was a Raggedy Ann doll that a friend of my mother's made for me for my second birthday.  I still have the doll, and she's a bit the worse for wear (her face is embroidered, and I've had to re-embroider her facial features more than once), but perhaps I will pass her on to a daughter or granddaughter someday. Smiley

The kit introduced me to cording, a technique I haven't used before.  I used it for the strand of yarn that the cats are pulling out of Raggedy Ann's head.  As soon as I read about the technique, ideas for pillows and Christmas ornaments started popping into my mind.

So here it is:

Please forgive the poor picture quality.  I got the image by plopping the finished work onto my scanner.  I don't own a digital camera (yet).
