So... I made two large items for RikaHeart, and one of them completely kicked my *** - I finished it last night (!) and sent today.  Since she's been so patient, here's a teaser pic:

I have pictures!!  Here are the goodies RikaHeart sent me.....

Two TARDIS boxes:

And inside one of them, I found marble magnets.  (Unfortunately, not all of them survived the trip - the magnets seemed much more interested in sticking to each other than to the marbles.  A little glue should set them right, though.)

Adipose marshmallows!

And an adorable adipose baby:

There were also some paper dolls and stationery, but I'm not sure where they are right now.

Thank you so much RikaHeart!!   Cheesy

Here are the awesome goodies I got from tiltcreations!

First, a painting of Gachnar the fear demon getting squished.  "Actual size."

Next, Buffy's patrol bag:

... which contained all sorts of stuffed goodies!

Mr. Pointy:

Hands of Blue, and a Blue Sun:

Wash goodies!  Two dinos, and a leaf on the wind.  (Steggy should be worried - T.Rex looks hungry.)

A stethoscope (for Simon?) and a couple of items I couldn't place (one of them is an eye mask):

And lastly, GRRR!  ARGH!

Thank you so much for the amazing package!!   Cheesy

So I've finally gotten around to posting some pictures...   Embarrassed sorry so late.

First, the wonderful package I got from calluna, my swap angel!

A childfree page-a-day calendar:

The "shoes on the cat" fridge magnet and a bumper sticker:

"Nullipara Notes" blank book:

One of the pictures from the book: "There sweetheart, now you know how mommy feels."

Then I received a package from MollyGirl, my original partner.  She sent me:

An ornament (full of child-unfriendly pins), a condom case, and a domino necklace that reads "Childfree - Biology Isn't Destiny":

And an apron, for all that cooking I couldn't do if I had kids.  (I love to cook.)

And I have a pic of what I sent to MollyGirl:
- A bag with a picture of her dogs and the words "Ask Me About My Children"
- A chew toy for her dogs
- A tea towel with the Subversive Cross Stitch "Babies Suck" design
- A sushi ornament, to represent all the foods and beverages you have to give up during pregnancy

Thank you both, ladies!  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Edit: Grrr... My camera rotated some of the images.  I tried to rotate them back - looks like it didn't work Sad

15  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap # 9 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by TheCraftyCat on: October 10, 2008 02:09:14 PM
I finally have pics!!  Auntiem asked me to post pictures of what I sent her, plus I have some pix of the amazing goodies she sent me.

What I sent her:

The sock yarn (pre-wrapping) with some of the store-bought goodies:

Two knitted dishcloths, a martini cross-stitch, and a knitted catnip toy (which got rave reviews from auntiem's cat):

I also added some candy.

What she sent me:

I didn't take a picture of the magic yarn rectangle before starting to knit.  I decided to knit out one of the hat patterns she sent me.  Here's the MYR with a bit of knitting done, the two hat patterns she sent me, and a few of the first goodies to fall out of the MYR:

After a while, I got impatient and dove in.  And auntiem made me a sweet needle roll:

and a sachet, a knitted kitty, and a hat.

(She sent me two hat patterns and knit me a hat with one of the patterns.  As fate would have it, I chose to knit up the other pattern.  So I'll have two different-patterned hats when all is said and done.)

Here are some store-bought goodies that were buried deeper in the MYR:

We've been in a few of the same swaps, which obviously gave her a few ideas. Wink

Thank you so much auntiem!   Cheesy

16  Re: Kevin Smith and Related Movies Swap Gallery-- I Assure You We Are Open! in The Swap Gallery by TheCraftyCat on: September 19, 2008 12:59:20 PM
I received today!!   Cheesy

I got a good chuckle when I saw the outside of the box: "Ass Mail!"

(Obviously, some poor postal worker screwed up slightly.  But it's a Kevin Smith swap, therefore my mind is in the gutter.  Tongue )

On to the goodies!

A pack of cigarettes (Nails - complete with pins) and my very own drug dealers' union card:

Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back stitch markers, and a voodoo doll (thankfully not made from onions):

And this awesome Clerks tote bag!

The back:

Thank you so much, SarahBlais!!

I got a lovely package from Summie today!   Cheesy

First up: some yarn, crochet hooks, and a mug.  The mug reads: Life is too short to be anything but HAPPY.

Next, a book to wreck.  This will be great to take my frustrations out on.

And last but certainly not least, a rice heat pack and some lavender bath salts!

Thank you so much, Summie!   Cheesy

Looks like I'm the lucky first recipient.  Auntiem has set the bar high (so to speak).

First, the picnic tote bag:

One of the inside "pockets" is open at the bottom, so it can be used as a sleeve for a bottle of wine.  (Check out the pretty fabric!)

Four coasters with glow-in-the-dark beads so you can find your drink if the lights are off.  Also, a holder for drink recipes...

... complete with recipes.

And some other goodies: wine charms, a martini pin, two glasses, and a "pink elephant" cocktail set.

Thank you so much for everything!!

I've received my package from AmphipodGirl!

She made me this gorgeous challah cover:

She also included a challah recipe and a copy of "How to Live a Jewish Life" by Alfred J. Kolatch.

The ironic thing is that I was thinking of making challah today, but it's too hot out to even think about turning on an oven.   Tongue

Thank you so much AmphipodGirl!

Shabbat Shalom everyone Smiley
