G has become more popular in my circle of friends than I am, to be honest... Everyone will miss him so much, but especially me!

I got a package today.... from Canada?? Turns out my SC was in Canada for a trip and sent my package from a whole other country to be extra, super sneaky!

All I can say is.... HOLY COW, SECRET CRAFTSTER! Your panting on a t-shirt skills are phenomenal! This is the BEST Giraffe shirt I have ever had! Thank you, Thank you!!!!!

(I will post a picture of me wearing it soon, I just got back from a particularly sweaty yoga session, and I don't want to stink it up! Smiley

Also, can you tell me what kind of paint you used, and the best way to wash and care for it, so the paint doesn't fade or come off? I want to make sure that this one stays in perfect condition!

Thanks again!!

4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Need a critique of your Etsy shop? This is the place! on: August 17, 2007 09:37:10 PM
I finally put items on my store, and would really like to know what you think! My main concerns are did I put enough info about each item in the description, and how are my pictures? I would appreciate tips and advice! http://fluxity.etsy.com

I think i figured out my partner!!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo  Grin

How in the world did you do that? I have no freaking idea who I might have. Except that she's good at making earrings.... but that really doesn't help much. Hmmmm.....

Oh, the gallery is filling up with some really pretty things  Grin I don't want to comment on anything individually as it might give something away!

I agree! I want to comment and say "I am so glad you like what I made you!" but I can't... it's agony!!

I got my first package today! Beautiful dangle earrings, with stars - my favorite shape, and GIRAFFES!

Thank you thank you Secret Craftster! They are beautiful! I am going to change my outfit now, so I can match the green beads on the giraffe set - to wear them right away!

** Hmm, the pictures are big a blurry - sorry about that. My camera just doesn't like tiny-closeups, I guess. Smiley

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: The Headless Cupid - yet another book purse on: August 08, 2007 12:52:04 PM
That looks great! Makes me really want to try that now! Oh, and funny thing, I've read that book! It's a fun ghost story. Smiley
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Giant red concert bag on: August 06, 2007 02:11:12 AM
So, I decided that when we go to the Gorge Amphitheater for Download 2007 (INCUBUS!!!!) that I don't want to mess with my backpack again. I wanted a big over-the-shoulder bag - but I looked in my closet - and the Shelf-O-Purses didn't have anything quite like what I was picturing. So I made this:

It's big - about 11" tall, 13" wide and 5" across at the base - with my very first zipper ever!!! in one of the inside pockets. I used this tutorial and I think it worked out perfectly!

I was going to make it a messenger bag, but I put two heavy-duty magnetic snaps in there, and snaps shut so tightly that I didn't see the need for a flap. I do think it's a little bare on the outside, though. Any ideas to spiff it up?

The pictures are from my blog, and if you go there, the pictures are clickable and get bigger, if you should so desire. Smiley
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: How do you interpret THIS?? on: August 03, 2007 09:56:46 AM
Wow, Tenille - you really ran with this pattern! Nice work! I think I need to try, now, though I wish-wish-wish I could find the same yarn they made it out of originally (so pretty!) Smiley
