1  suggestions/help on embroidered design in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by devmo on: February 12, 2007 04:23:39 PM
So I've been making a pillow with a pineapple on it. And now I'm stuck. Usually I have everything planned out from the beginning, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to do the main part of the fruit, so I decided to wait until I was done with the top.... bad idea. Now I'm just stuck. I'm not sure what sort of shape to do... if I should do just a suggestion/couple of areas or fill in the entire thing! Any links to pretty pineapples are encouraged (maybe you'll even find the one I 'borrowed').

2  Long ago... hobo bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by devmo on: February 12, 2007 04:17:25 PM
Long long ago before I actually joined craftster, I read this thread and thought the bag was quite cute. So I kept everything in mind and then finally got around to sewing some hobo bags. Of course by that time I decided I would just make up my own pattern based on rememberances haha And now, a year or so later, I am finally posting pictures! The bags were made from various bits of fabric I had stored away, and the buttons are from our vintage collection. If you click on the image, it will take you to a close up of the fabric/button!

(color is a bit off in this one)

3  More pillows! Microscope, atari, heart, monkey, and pink dino in Needlework: Completed Projects by devmo on: January 19, 2007 10:26:05 AM
I've been motivitated apparently. I took photos of the other pillows that I have finished so far. Hopefully it will get me moving on the others that I have planned/started, but left sitting... waiting for me to stitch again!

4  octopus, dinosaur and crab pillows in Needlework: Completed Projects by devmo on: January 13, 2007 12:29:49 PM
So I embroidered these awhile ago, finally got pictures of them and finally making my first post on the wonderful forum that is craftster!!
These aren't actually pillows, but cases/covers. I found pretty colored fabric and sewed the cases myself (serged edges and all)... so they aren't all exactly the same size, but they are all made for 14"x14" pillow forms. They close with overlapping fabric, which is why I took pics of the back as well (some openings are in the center, some at the top etc).
