21  Re: Twinkle's Big City Knits Book Knitalong in Knitalongs by steezah on: June 19, 2007 07:14:30 PM
Grarr...I wish I bought that issue of Vogue now!

i just picked it up from the library, maybe yours would have a copy too?

that being said, the vogue copy differs from the twinkle copy slightly due to guage/yarn chosen. I'm about 50% done the shopping tunic right now. This is a photo taken before tonights progress. I'm using berroco xpress as a sub, it's not quite as thick, but we'll see how it turns out. more on the blog as usual.

thanks silver Illix, i'm feeling a tad better.. still have that "sick" taste to everything i eat/drink that just won't go away! I mean aside from the kleenex thats perma stuck up my nose, thats what drives me nuts the most.  Lips sealed

but back to fiber...
I fiddled around with patterns last night and worked out something I liked. Berry on the sides and a simple check. I think I've made it a bit smaller than what I need..might have to frog a few rows of the cable so that it lines up proper.. block the hell out of it so the accent stitches are even... lots to do! Update again when I've got something new to share Smiley

I agree with TreeTree. If you like the original that much, do your best to make it. Just don't sell it. Then you will have problems. If you're doing it for your self, it's no problem.

nods. good to know.

just about to pick up the sitcks, here's a progress shot of last nights work

and how about one thats in focus?

 Grin

boy, oh boy, do i understand your pain!

Imagine baskeweave on 2.5's!!! I recently knit a basketweave scarf for my boyfriend and it drove me bananas! I think I even fell asleep knitting it at times hehehe...

In response to your query, I think it's a good length for a tuck scarf. oh and what yarn is that? those colors are sweet.
