1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: The (new) Etsy critique thread! on: February 07, 2009 07:55:38 AM
Hi!  I have only had 3 sales.  I have recently revamped almost every part of my store.  And only 1 sale to show for it...
Can someone tell me what to do?

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: New to Craftster, New to sewing on: January 26, 2009 11:03:28 AM
well honey! please dont slap yourself in the face.  For me assembling and figuring out how to make things is 1/2 of the battle.  the sewing part will come in with pratice.  I know... I am Craft ADD so I hate hearing the word pratice.  But I think if you decide you want to start selling, spend some time to create your inventory and sew for gifts.  By the time you have enough to stock a store you will be worlds better!  And you arent that bad!
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Critique my Etsy Store?! on: January 26, 2009 11:00:27 AM
I have read all of the "shop makeover" threads and have done lots and lots to improve (re-taking all of the pictures, purchased a banner, renewing items).
I'm still not getting traffic and more importantly, Im not getting any sales.

Will someone PLEASE be totally 100% honest.  I really want to make this work.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Merino Wool! What the heck...?? on: December 17, 2008 12:44:04 PM
Now I know this isnt 100% knitting related... but I was hoping someone could help.  I love the look of this scarf.  I know its pretty much only knotted... but my question is the yarn.  Do you buy it with the little tufts coming out like that or do you have to do something special?

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: A gallery for a swap for knitters!!! on: May 17, 2008 01:28:20 PM
I got an awesome package from Spirals420-  I love knitting and knitting packages and yarn!  I am so happy!   It couldn't have come at a better time.  It has been the worst possible week at work!  So... On to the pics!

I have wanted this book forever!  A wisty surprise!  I have already started on one of the projects.

This needle roll is beautiful!  The colors are perfect.  It's huge so I can fit all of those oversized needles I have.  The embroidery on the outside is beautiful too.
This is one of my favorite things in life right now.

There was so much awesome yarn in the box I dint know how everything else fit.  I had been wanting to try wool and other fibers I hadn't tried... so now I get to.  I love it all!

And because I need to get in the habit of taking notes on items I knit and things I see and craft, a note book, super cute pencils (I love writing with them too!!) and handy fold up scissors!
You can also see some of the fabric that came with it.  I didn't want to overload the pics... but its awesome fabric.

I am so thankful to my awesome partner!

I dont know how I forgot to get a picture or even mention it (probably cause I was already wearing it!)  Sprials420 also sent me one of her awesome slouchy hats that I love!  It's the most beautiful color of green to go with my new red hair.  I am in love with it.  I have hardly taken it off yet.  i will get a picture soon.
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Baby Bibs with Matching Burp Clothes (img heavy) on: April 28, 2008 08:02:13 AM
I think I love you!  It is so hard to craft for babies when you arent used to it.  They are just so freaking tiny.  Its wierd! hehehe!
Thanks again!
