1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Can you punch fabric? on: June 10, 2011 09:44:17 PM
If it's a thinner fabric, I'd try liquid starch or a mixture of PVA (white glue) and water.

I'd definitely try the white glue mix. It will become quite rigid!
With the white glue mix, I'd lay it out on plastic/ saran wrap/ wax paper after liberally coating it.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: some more customised jackets on: November 22, 2010 11:03:57 PM
I mostly lurk on here, but I have to let you know I absolutely LOVE all the jackets you've upcycled!

They look like something I would see in a local boutique for a ridiculous price. They are absolutely gorgeous

Your buttons are beautiful as well, they really make the look!

I hit the this rocks button!
3  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Blood Worms....Yum! on: October 30, 2010 11:27:58 PM

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: How do you tie this knot!? on: August 10, 2010 03:43:42 AM
Check out this link, I think you'll find it helpful!

also 'decorative knot tying' is a good term to plug into google as well Smiley
5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Scooty Booty! (Warning: Explicit Cat Butt and Juvenile Poopy Humor) on: April 28, 2009 02:29:56 PM
hahahahaha.

My dog does that too.

Hehehehe.

I love the little mongo Smiley Cat's ALWAYS seemto know when you are mocking them. They get those "not impressed" ears happening.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Maternity Skirts (link to tute) on: April 28, 2009 02:27:30 PM
...is there an old fat preggo lady clothing forum?  Cheesy

If there was, I'm sure it would get a lot of posts!

I'm certain that if I ever get prego, I will become much more crafty. Maternity clothes seem to be so expensive for the amount of time you need them!

Good job, by the way Smiley
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Effexor on: April 25, 2009 09:51:24 PM
heh, you got a smile out of me.

This is probably the most therapeutic and cathartic method I can think of to 'record' what medications you may have tried.

Although you noted in your other thread that you're aiming for a painting-like quality in your stitching, it speaks more emotionally to me.

Guess it shows (to me) that antidepressants only help us keep it together, not 'make us happy'
