41  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / first attempt at making a bag on: February 11, 2007 11:25:13 AM
Well, Valentine's Day was coming up, and I wanted something to tote all of my gifts for people around in.  I was just going to use a trashbag like past years.. but.. I decided to attempt at making a bag.

It was supposed to be heart shaped, but..eh... it didn't come out perfect.
But, I kinda made it reversable... hah.  For my first try, I think it's rather nice.  Heh.

The pictures might not be the best either.. hah.

Front of the bag with my random Spongebob thing:

Back of the bag:

The sides:

Now lets reverse it!

The Front.. but reversed!:

And.. that's about it.

What do you think?
Heh.  It's decent for a first try, I think

Oh!  Here's a pic with all my stuff in it..

44  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / little baskets on: February 04, 2007 11:40:41 AM
My grandma made me a little basket type thing out of plastic canvas(I think that's what it's called) and I thought it was rather neat.  So, I decided to make my own..

My grandma's little basket:

45  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / is a belt considered jewelry? on: February 03, 2007 02:57:45 PM
Eh, I didn't know where to put this really.  I think belts are jewelry-ish?

You know those pesky little fake credit cards that you get in the mail?
...
Make a belt out of them!

My belt:

yay for velcro!

 Cheesy

I just sewed the things together.. It was kinda difficult to sew through the plastic, but then I thought "hey! I can use a thumb tac to poke holes in the cards!"  That was much easier than using a needle to poke the holes.

47  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / an interesting valentine card on: February 03, 2007 02:27:12 PM
I thought that I would share a valentine card that I made for someone.  Well, I dunno if it's really a card.. it's more like a mini book-ish type thing.

Hope you like!

48  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Skirt to tank top on: January 14, 2007 05:36:40 PM
I had this skirt laying around & I noticed that I had two of them..  I've been trying to make some tank top type things, and none of them had been successful enough that I would honestly wear them outside of my room.
BUT!
I somehow got a little lucky with making this skirt into a tank top thingy.  Cheesy   It's simple.. I wasn't going for anything too fancy.

This is the skirt I made the shirt out of:
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n170/veroni144/skirt-zelda.jpg

please excuse the mess in my room.. it's a complete disaster, heh.

& here is the finished product:

^ side view (just ignore the white from the bra straps, heh)

I'm not very successful at getting any back shots, but there isn't anything special about the back.
I used fabric glue to put the Triforce  Grin on (my sewing machine wouldn't cooperate with me AT ALL!! with that)

What do you think?

ps.
The bottom of the skirt with the little flowery stuff on it.. I didn't use that on this shirt.. I figure I could use it for some other project later on, heh.   Roll Eyes
49  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cassette Tape earrings on: January 14, 2007 05:13:00 PM
I took apart a cassette tape the other day (to attempt at making another craft thingy.) & I didn't want to throw away the stuff that was inside it.. soo..   Roll Eyes

I made these!  Grin
