1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Tank Girl (From SNB) KAL? on: April 06, 2008 08:32:36 PM

Summer's on it's way (ok, maybe just spring where I am, but summer's not far after), don't you need a tank top?  Anyone want to do a KAL of the Tank Girl tank from the first Stitch n Bitch book?  I've been knitting for years but I've never progressed much beyond scarves and other flat things.  I'm ready for the challenge, but it will be easier if someone joins me!

Let me know if you're interested.  I don't have supplies yet, I'll wait for you!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Neckwarmer/Neckcozy on: April 06, 2008 06:59:27 PM
I was knitting a scarf, double moss/seed stitch and I got impatient.  So I made a button hole and decreased, creating this neckwarmer that a co-worker dubbed a "neck cozy."  I was quite proud of myself as even after years of knitting I've never graduated to anything much above beginner - and I've never improvised and had it work.   Cheesy  Of course now that I try to recreate it it keeps coming out screwy...

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Looking for Patter - bonnet headband type thing on: April 02, 2008 06:56:52 PM

I've been looking for a pattern for a headband/earwarmer/bonnet type thing.
Kind of like this http://www.craftleftovers.com/blog/?s=headwrap - and I'd like the button to go under the chin.  So, something that wraps over the top of the head, the ears and then buttons under the chin.

After much internet searching, I've come up empty. Can anyone advise?  Also, nothing too fancy - I've been knitting for years but I still consider myself only an advanced beginner.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
