Hey I know that fabric! It's the lining of my messenger bag!

heheh, you must be from Florida if that's a heavy winter coat.

nice job!

I think a solid color shade would be good, maybe matching the base.  I think the base looks like it might need another coat of paint.

hey! I just bought some of this fabric!

unfortunately, I only got a half yard.  8 bucks a yard is redonkulous for cotton quilty stuff, at least to me.  I've got rent to pay!
5  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Re: Simplicity 4218 - not so easy on: February 25, 2007 10:12:39 PM
Yeah, pattern sizes are quite small and it sucks, (I'm an 18, too) but that's why you should read the back of the pattern and  know your measurements.  Then you know whether or not you might have to fudge it a little bit.  The whole "measure once, cut twice" thing isn't just for carpenters.
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Re: Snug (snailxslug) t-shirt on: February 24, 2007 10:53:11 PM
AWWWW my roommate has a snail, he lives in our fish tank.  His name is Kafka.  Would a snug have half a shell, or a lump on his back that just looked like a snail?  Just wondering.  super cute design.

a body sock+  thin seethrough burgundy stuff + some sort of flower applliques you could make using satin stitch = something very close to that top.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Sweater Bag on: January 17, 2007 09:22:53 PM
ooooooh neato!  I love that bag!  I also love the shetland chunky tweed ...I was eyeing that very color last time I was at the store.  I think I might make that bag, only with some classic merino wool(doubled up) from a disproportionate attempt at a sweater I frogged.  I think I'll find some cute calico and sew in a lining, as well
