Great quilt!! I may feel it necessary to copy it at some point in the future. Smiley

Btw, what part of MO do you live in?  We are in Mansfield. Smiley
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Stacked coin baby quilt on: May 10, 2009 07:36:00 AM
I have a friend who is pregnant with her 5th baby and after she saw the other baby quilts I made she jokingly requested one for herself in blue and brown.  I'll be sending this to her next week as a surprise.

I had been itching to make a stacked coin quilt.

And the pieced back.  The binding is also pieced.  I think the binding is my favorite part. LOL  The back is cream colored muslin.

And the label.  I enjoyed embroidering a tag and will probably do that for all subsequent quilts as well. Smiley

Now to make the "Scary Monster" quilt my 3yo son requested.

Thanks for looking.

You are a quilting maniac.  I love all of your work but I have to say I've been obsessing over the stacked coin pattern and goodness, you are not helping!!!  Smiley Great job!!

Great gender neutral quilt!!  What is it with people not finding out the gender of the baby??  It is very inconvenient!! Smiley  I'm putting this one in my pocket for next time.

After seeing this quilt: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=301148.0
I knew I had to make one of my own.  This is a fabulous and easy idea with great results!!  I have a friend who will be having her 10th baby in July and I am not sure of the gender of the baby.  My friend Gretchen has a very bubbly, happy personality so I thought this was very appropriate.  My kids were very impressed with it too! LOL

It measures about 34 x 40.

The back is cream colored muslin.  I think this is my best free motion quilting yet.

One more of the front. Smiley

Thanks for looking.
