1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Do Not Feed After Midnight! Gizmo Hoop on: December 30, 2011 07:57:35 AM
He's so... pettable-looking. Normally, I don't feel the urge to want to tweak wall-hangings. Smiley
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: an infinitely improbable hoop (UPDATE:new pic in its new hoopy home!) on: December 30, 2011 07:56:09 AM
Oh, that's adorable! It's styled a lot like a Hitch-Hiker's t-shirt I just got, but actually, I like your color scheme better.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Recovered Craft Chair! on: December 30, 2011 07:51:33 AM
You really made it look like a million bucks!

Redoing chairs-- usually they're odd dining chairs I've either thrifted or helped myself to on bulk trash day-- are a favorite of mine. I haven't done a desk chair, though. I kind of wish I'd thought of it before having bought an actual desk chair.

I think the fabric you chose is perfect for the style chair.
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Dr Who Purse on: December 30, 2011 07:40:23 AM
Oh, that's fabulous! And honestly, I think it has more meaning that you made it for her and you don't even care for Doctor Who yourself.
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Re: Lamb Place Name Holder - Tutorial on: March 07, 2008 07:56:14 AM
Oh those are seriously cute!
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Re: Marshmallow Peep Carousel on: March 07, 2008 07:55:42 AM
Ha, yes, I guess they do look a little hesitant, don't they? Not a wonder, really. Those Peep chicks have been skewered and probably aren't their happiest. Smiley
7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Ideas for empty prescription bottles on: March 07, 2008 07:53:39 AM
Actually, I really love the idea IchBesse came up with as using it for a little "gift" of something like candy (OR, honestly, small shells or some kind of sentimental token)...

Thanks for thinking on it and for piping up! I keep amassing them and know there's potential there. But I'd had no real brainstorms.

It's got a nice look. And using your pug to show the scale of the object totally had me cracking up. I suppose we should refer to it as "Pugometrics." Smiley

I like the Peep hat idea! And yes, you're quite right, the Peeps are not light and fluffy when they dry out. The Peep garland I made last year is HEAVY. And it's not just because it's loaded with beads, either.

Them Peeps is fulla lead. Smiley

Ah, trash-to-treasure meets sugar rush when year-old Marshmallow Peeps become part of a cardboard carnival attraction... I thought if any folks would appreciate this funny little craft project, it would be the folks here on Craftster!

There's a step-by-step tutorial with lots of pictures here:

I also listed some lessons learned, because I think there are some things I'd do differently if I were to make another one.
