Last week we adopted a 5 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix from the shelter, and have since noticed that her absolute favorite thing to do is to burrow under and into anything she can find (blankets, towels, dirty laundry).
I was wondering if anyone on here had made one of these burrowing type beds- sometimes they are called trundle or nest beds, or doggie sleeping bags (see: http://www.fetchdog.com/shop/home-yard/beds-throws/throws-covers/H10021 or http://trixieandpeanut.com/beds/m11725.html).
I was thinking I would just make one sleeping bag style with two rectangles of fake fur sewn together on 3 sides and an opening on the top, but the ones I've seen online seem to have an extra -magical- element to them because they can be arranged in three different ways (ie throw, teacup bed, and sleeping bag). I can't figure out just from the pictures how they stay in any one position.
Can anyone who has made or seen one of these things give me some pointers?
