and for pointing me in the direction to avoid the ladder effect.  Smiley

I really hope that this is not too dumb of a question to ask  Embarrassed but I don't understand when it says don't join the rounds but to work in spirals.
 I have only done one crochet project ( a mouse )which was worked in spirals so I get that part but what would you be doing if you DID join the rounds??
