1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Deployment Quilt on: October 24, 2008 09:19:17 AM
Smiley Thank you! I loved it so much too I almost didn't want to give it up. LoL
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Witch/Wicca/Pagan Swap Round 8 Gallery on: October 23, 2008 08:46:03 PM
Finally! I was able to get all the pictures edited and uploaded sooo here we go:

First up, a wand AeonGoddess had her father make me. The body is ash, and the handle is antique oak. Isn't it lovely? It just, fits, and I know everyone knows what I mean. Smiley

Then she made me a Leaf scarf (her first non-granny square crochet project!) to give me a taste of what a real Autumn could feel like (it was 84 degrees today so I can't wear it yet). There is shimmery threading going through the yarn but my camera didn't get it quite in.

One that I absolutely adore and love is the Celtic Card Deck she sent me. I've used it several times already and have had wonderful results!

And then a gorgeous hand knit, hand embroidered bag with beautiful bracelets that were tucked inside!

I was spoiled rotten!! Thank you AeonGoddess I love it all!!!

A ton. I'll be taking pictures tomorrow (i got home after dark tonight. Fttt, work) when I can take shots in the daylight!
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Deployment Quilt on: October 20, 2008 06:16:31 PM
So my husband is in the US Marines and deployed to Iraq (for 7 months) October 4th. To keep him warm and cozy during the cold winter nights I decided to make him a quilt he could take with him and destroy (you know how men are). It's log cabin in Quilter's Cotton and batiks and the underside is flannel. I pieced it together and the guys from Bear's Quilt Shop machine quilted it for me.

That was before it was quilted and this is after...I couldnt really get a decent shot of it because he wouldn't let go. Smiley

Thanks for looking!
ETA: I suppose I ought to mention this is my first finished quilt. So..It's my first finished quilt!!
