my glue is drying on my last item !!  i will box things up tomorrow, and if all fits in well, I 'll be mailing that day too!

Wow, I had better get moving here to keep up with you Cheesy I'm excited to hear everyone is working away, I just can't wait to see the gallery.

I hope my partner loves her surprises Wink (here's more hoping I got the color right, my boyfriend assured me, so I think we're in the clear Cheesy I  love a color challenge!)
22  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Soap-a-palooza! (part 1 -- the FO's) (mucho pics) on: March 29, 2010 02:50:37 PM
I opened this from the hot new projects so as soon as I saw that first picture I just said "Man, I want some fudge!!" But I guess I can still use it to wash my mouth out (Christmas Story, anyone?) So yummy looking, I certainly wouldn't mind soaping up with those as long as we've established that I can't eat them Tongue

So cool. Gotta try making soap some day Cheesy
23  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: spindle from old CDs on: March 29, 2010 02:40:24 PM
Hey neat, how do you like your CD spindle? I thought about making one but before I had a chance I got a wooden one from a swap. I like it ok, but it's so heavy my yarn breaks all the time. Now I have a wheel and it's totally the greatest.

So, what did you think? Are you going to go out an buy more wool? Or start up an alpaca farm? lol Cheesy It can get addictive to spin spin spin, especially if you knit or crochet as well. Good luck and grats on your first yarn. It looks great!

I finished my major one last night.  It came out great.  I am not always good at following directions, so I am very relieved that this worked out. My partner has a very speeeeeeecific color out there, and I was lucky to come across what I needed for it.  Now, onto other goodies for her...

Haha, sorry I'm so specific. I'm glad to hear you aren't pulling your hair out over it! I'm pretty sure I have all the supplies I'll need for all of your little treasures and one things is already done. I'm working early in this swap, that's new to me lol. I'm usually down to the wire on things because I'm not sure what to make sometimes. I almost always send on time though, don't worry Wink I sure can't wait to see what everyone has made at the end of this one. Another whole month to go!

I'm having fun on these things. My main thing is not necessarily something I would make normally, but I really like making it Cheesy
25  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Lil Hippies (pic obese!) on: March 25, 2010 07:03:59 PM
Aw, how cute! I'm certainly not what anyone in their right mind would call a hippie but I'm down with these little guys Cheesy I think we have a little something in common... >.> Hehe, thanks for sharing!
26  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday -- March 19, 2010 on: March 19, 2010 10:32:00 PM
Great stuff this week, I love the one plied with white, so light and airy, but intense colors at the same time.

Here are a few of my first wheel yarns. I went to Stitches West and ended up with an Ashford Kiwi! Cutest thing, ever! I'll have to take pictures of a few still drying for next week. These are just my first completely finished yarns Tongue

My favorite first, I named it Banana Cream Pie. Spun from spinningtheweb's colorway Honey Comb, unknown yardage:

Purple, I keep calling it Meredith. Superwash Merino, 42 yds.

Mothwing: my first plied yarn, turned out a little wonky but i love it Cheesy, super lofty, 42 yds, super thin to bulky:

27  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Yarnies Vs Sewists signups through 26 March on: March 11, 2010 12:54:53 AM
This sounds like loads of fun, I haven't done a swap in a while and have picked up a few more crafts since then Wink I've been busy!

Sarantha: I'm pretty sure it's safe to say a pair of socks would be considered a large item and then you could do a small to make up for the rest. Socks are time consuming monsters! Man, If I were paired with you and got a pair of socks, I wouldn't even care what the other item was, you could send me a twix bar or something. Socks would be so amazing Cheesy I would sew you whatever you wanted haha.

I think Im definitely going to sign up for this one, as a both ways gal (haha, i swing both ways.. lol sorry, corny joke, couldn't help it). I'm going to wait a little though, I have to figure out what category I have time for. I'd like to sign up for the large one, but we have to be realistic here. Tongue Who knows, maybe I can do that much.

I'll be back! Can't wait to see who else signs up <3
28  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: First Skeins :) on: March 07, 2010 10:47:29 PM
Cool, I like the middle one a lot Cheesy How is it spinning superwash? I've only done BFL and some mystery wools.
29  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: My first ever needle felted project. A murloc! on: March 07, 2010 06:38:25 PM
Man, when was the wow swap? I'm sorry i missed that one. Is it too soon to host another one? Hehe.

This guy is awesome, is he holding a mana biscuit? Ha. Sorry Tongue I love him so much, what a lucky partner you had! Funny thing she sent you the needle felting kit in the first place, what goes around comes around, right? Cheesy
30  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday - March 5,2010 on: March 06, 2010 10:36:43 PM
These are sooo pretty! I love the brown and blue in the beginning, I'd call it... Dune or Beechwood lol, not super creative, but I like it a lot anyway. The orange and blue/white/red are really great. I can't wait till next friday, I'm going to post my first wheel yarns. They're hanging to dry right now. I went to Stitches West last weekend and ended up with a wheel! Yay! Omigosh, so fun! I've just about run out of fiber at this point :/

Can't wait to see more!
