WOW!  Completely gorgeous.

Materials:8 CD's or DVD's, and 8 plastic coated paper clips.
Tools: Drill with bit, and piece of wood.



I put both CD's back to back and drilled through them at the same time. It made the paper clips much easier to attach. Corded drills work better than battery ones. Remember to wear eye protection.



I like to use the plastic coated paper clips to link the CD's as I live in Oregon where it rains a lot.



Put paper clips through the holes in both sides of the cd's. Make sure the CD's are shiny side out.



Finished Recycled CD Garden Bird Deterrent.  I made mine 4 CD's long, but you could go longer or shorter to fit your needs and/or level of patience.  I plan on placing this and it's three friends out in my garden later this spring.

The red fabric is cotton in a design Hoffman doesn't print anymore.   
It's shiny in the picture, because I used the flash on the camera and the anti-static bag reflected back

I love how the flower looks like a separate 3D piece from a distance!

Very cool.
Now I know what to wear with my pi shirt on pi day.

I used old jean fabric and left over ribbon to make an RFID blocking passport cover.



The interior red fabric is left over from a finished quilt.



The shine under the fabric is the anti-static computer bag (2 layers) cut to size.
2 layers of aluminum foil sandwiched in between the anti-static bag layers.
Theoretically this should block unwanted scans of the RFID chip in the passport.

Not sure what to call it.  It's not a scarf, nor a shrug...


Can flip up to keep my neck warm with the short hair.


The neck overlaps off center to keep the wind off my neck.


Large neck makes it easy to take off without messing the hair.
