6  Sindy's cashmere cardigan in Knitting: Completed Projects by JaneyP on: May 10, 2007 01:14:14 PM
Here is my new cardigan I knitted from a vintage pattern for my Sindy (her name is Sally). I unravelled a cashmere beanie hat for the yarn.....it was sooooo soft to knit with. She is really pleased with it and I'm not sure if she will share it with her sisters!
Hope you like it as much as she does.

7  Sindy killed Barbie! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by JaneyP on: May 07, 2007 07:32:10 AM

Oh Dear!
My new Sindy just did not like the Barbie with crap hair and cheesy grin so she sort of dismembered her and decided I should make a bag charm thingy out of the body parts. Adding to her misery we PVA glued her hair into a nice hairstyle, added some piercings and played with her makeup! She's still bloody smiling though!

8  Yoghurt Pot Jewelry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by JaneyP on: April 24, 2007 01:13:18 PM
Here's my latest obsession.....yoghurt pot jewelry! Fed up with the growing heap of recycling I have decided to wage war on it and reduce it myself by making good stuff out of it. I hope you agree that it is no longer rubbish!!!
The beadson the bracelet are also reclaimed from on old broken necklace and the yoghurt is extra low fat for all you calorie counters out there! I have more in the pipeline ready to load into my etsy shop. Lots more flavours I have been munching through......

9  My Beautiful New Recycled Bag in Crochet: Completed Projects by JaneyP on: April 20, 2007 12:19:18 PM
Here is my new bag that evolved from my crochet hook. I first bought the recycled sari silk yarn from tokyo at xmas and knit little squares with it. Not quite knowing what to do with it next I bought a couple of balls of wool from the charity shop and crocheted round the edges of the squares. Then still unsure what it was going to be I started to join the squares together. Needing some more fun I crocheted into the join row doing 3 sts per chain and created a ruffle. I then decided a bag would be a good idea and worked it togther to form the main part of the bag. Using two 'unruffled squares' I attached two rings (that were covered with crochet) that I found when my daughter bought two scarves (they were used to hang them on rails) I then attched some nylon webbing (found in our works storecupboard) for the strap. I lined it with some yellow gingham and an inside pocket.Buttons and charms finished it off and I am mighty pleased with it! Hope you like it too.

Here is Honey in her new outfit. I made the coat and hat with a recycled felted wool cardigan and the dress from vintage nintendo fabric (old duvet cover!!) Her scarf has sequin stars on it and the bag is lined with the nintendo logo.  She has lovely orange boots to match and some black and red beads.
