1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / need help with making a seamless collar on: January 01, 2008 02:52:32 PM
Hello everyone!
I've been having some problems with this top that I've been trying to make~ I'm using a knit fabric thats very stretchy so it's kind of difficult to sew with. So far my biggest problem is trying to make a seamless collar  Embarrassed

This area to be exact:

& here's an example of a shirt that has the type of liner I would like have:

here's my top:

instead of using a liner I just sewed the seams together hiding them away but it looks so strange for a top... and I really like the idea of a liner.

how can I get this finishing touch?

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Problems with bulk! on: July 11, 2007 03:40:48 PM
Hi everyone.. I've been having problems when sewing together sleeves. I always get alot of bulk.. is this common when sewing sleeves? if not how can I fix these types of problems? are their any tips and tricks I could use to avoid excessive bulk?
it doesnt really effect the the outfits exterior but it makes the inside look ugly, especially since I'm plan on selling this top.

If I'm unclear please let me know and I'll explain myself better

Here's a picture of what I meant by extra bulk.. this is the inside of the sleeve.

thank you!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help! Full Circle Skirts with specific fabrics on: May 31, 2007 07:46:47 PM
Hi everyone! I'm in need of some major help I want to make some cute circle skirts with this these two fabrics:

FabricA: http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/90860b85a2.jpg
Detail: http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/0a6751be8e.jpg
FabricB: http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/93e2630a94.jpg

The problems that I've had is that I'd like for the the skirt with FabricA to remain veritcal throughout the full skirt, and one of the main problems is that although it appears vertical in the front and back the sides of the skirt are all warped.

I have the same problem with fabricB I want the print to cointinue without warping at the sides.

Does anyone know how I can fix this Huh
