1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Inspired Placemat Bag on: November 09, 2014 08:50:04 PM
Hi I've been wanting one of these bags so I constructed one myself. Used placemats and hot glue. It's very fragile because of the material the placemats are made out of but I'm liking the looks of it. Smiley

I ran over a pair of my glasses recently with my truck. I know this pouch won't protect from a truck tire running them over but at least I have something to put them in when I'm done driving. Cool

Hello and thank you. Everything is hot glued. I did use bias binding for the yellow. The others were just ribbon. I used a little felt inside. They are very useful in this size or they can be made a little bigger. I find these to be the best for my change. I've flipped it around and shook it and nothing has came out of it. They are very soft and cushiony inside so I'm getting ready to make myself a holder for my glasses next. I'm trying to get as many of these little drink pouches that I can now.  Smiley There are so many things that I want to make out of them.

Here are a few of the little pouches I made. I don't know why I didn't do these projects a long time ago.

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My Capri Sun Tote on: February 01, 2014 10:31:38 PM
Hello everyone. I haven't posted in a long time but here is my 1st Capri Sun Tote. The bags are glued together with a hot glue gun. The handles are from t-shirts cut up and can be adjusted many different ways to hold the bag. The loops are threaded through the straw holes.  I added ribbon to cover the edges of the bags, I just love how this turned out.  I posted on another board by mistake, please forgive.

Thank you. It's glued with a hot glue gun. The handles are from shirts cut up and can be held many different ways and ribbon to decorate and hide the edges of the bags. I think it would be much nicer if I had sewn it but this was quicker than trying to get at my machine to thread and load the bobbin. My granddaughters love it and now want to collect  the drink bags from their schools to recycle into cool projects like this.

Hello all. I haven't posted in a long while but here is my 1st Capri Sun Tote. Saving many more capri sun juice containers so I can make more. It's a hit with the grandkids. Thanks for looking.
