1  Inspired Placemat Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by etzatdebz on: November 09, 2014 08:50:04 PM
Hi I've been wanting one of these bags so I constructed one myself. Used placemats and hot glue. It's very fragile because of the material the placemats are made out of but I'm liking the looks of it. Smiley

4  My Capri Sun Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by etzatdebz on: February 01, 2014 10:31:38 PM
Hello everyone. I haven't posted in a long time but here is my 1st Capri Sun Tote. The bags are glued together with a hot glue gun. The handles are from t-shirts cut up and can be adjusted many different ways to hold the bag. The loops are threaded through the straw holes.  I added ribbon to cover the edges of the bags, I just love how this turned out.  I posted on another board by mistake, please forgive.

5  Re: We want to see!!!! Completed Projects Links! in REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING by etzatdebz on: February 01, 2014 11:19:19 AM
Thank you. It's glued with a hot glue gun. The handles are from shirts cut up and can be held many different ways and ribbon to decorate and hide the edges of the bags. I think it would be much nicer if I had sewn it but this was quicker than trying to get at my machine to thread and load the bobbin. My granddaughters love it and now want to collect  the drink bags from their schools to recycle into cool projects like this.

lampshade cover, not finished yet but you get the idea...

this was my very first project after finding this website and a tutorial and i thought...hmm, i can do that and i did.

another project using ties, the handles and flap closure are made from ties, the orange upholstery material from salvation army, the corduroy lining is from a jacket making use of many pockets.  also i made a change purse using an orange silk tie. it has two pockets, gem from gemmagic and velcro closure.
